Today we had to get up around 11am so that we could make it to the county health department by 1pm. That was when I had an appointment to get a flu shot. My Mom was able to find a place that still had flu shots and since I'm in a few of the high risk groups (severe asthma, heart condition, anemia, and a compromised immune system) they were willing to hold one on the side for me. When I got there, they only had four left. I had to fill out some paperwork and then they did the shot. I got it in my left arm since I usually do most things with my right. The shot itself didn't hurt - but afterwords... OUCH. The muscle in that arm hurts like hell. Oh well, so worth it to have a flu shot and not have to worry about staying in the house all the time so that I don't get sick.

After the shot my Mom and Nana needed to make a stop at the bank. We then headed into Dubuque. We had lunch at The Olive Garden and then went to the mall. I got some things at Bath and Body works (a gift for my other Grandma who I'll probably be seeing on Thursday, a gift for my Mom, and some lotion for myself since it's so dry out here). I also wanted to pick up a coat. I was going to bring one out with me, but my Mom told me not to worry about it because there was a coat here that I had left. Okay, so I didn't bring a coat. When I got here and tried on the coat I realized why I left it here - it didn't fit right. So, I figured I'd pick up a coat at the mall. Um... no. I went into all the possible stores (Yonkers, Sears, Penny's, and other smaller ones) and I wasn't able to find one single coat in my size. What the hell? We're in Dubuque for fuck's sake. Compared to a lot of people around here, I'm not that big. And I've never had trouble finding clothing in my size in L.A.! So, after the mall we checked around other places. ShopKo, Target, Dress Barn, Kohl's, etc. and not a single one had a coat in my size. We even checked a farming supply store! Nothing!!! So, it looks like I'm going to be really fucking cold out here. Grr.

After running around looking for a coat to no avail we headed back to Galena and went to Culver's for dinner. After dinner we headed back to my Mom's house. Rob and I decided to lay down on the bed and cuddle for a bit and we ended up falling asleep for two hours. I was awoken rather rudely when I started refluxing and drowning in my vomit. Not a good way to wake up. So, we're up again and watching TV with my Mom and Nana.
