Rob and I slept in a bit today because we didn't really have any plans lined up. After getting ready I headed out to the grocery store (Dick's) with my Mom and Rob stayed back at home with my Nana and worked on crossword puzzles with her. Mom and I did grocery shopping and then headed back home.

After the store Mom showed us the house next door to hers. Some ladies she knows bought it and completely re-did it. She has a key and got their permission to show it to us. Wow. It's an incredible three story house. The bottom floor has a large room (living room, rec room, that sort of thing) with a built in bar, a bedroom, and a bathroom. The main floor (the middle one) has a kitchen, living room, bathroom, and another bedroom. The top floor has one main bedroom, a loft bedroom overlooking the second floor living room, and a huge bathroom with a HUGE shower (there are three shower heads on one side and another big waterfall like showerhead on the other side). The house is AMAZING. And the prices out here are amazing as well. This house is only going for $279k. Granted, Rob and I probably wouldn't move to Galena, but still, a lot of prices out here are affordible. We're seriously considering moving to the midwest. Probably the Milwaukee area if I can find work there. Apparently the job market isn't as bad there as it is in L.A. right now. L.A. isn't looking too good for us anymore. I can't seem to find any kind of work as an attorney and it really doesn't look like we'll ever be able to afford property (or even a child) if we stay out there. So, I guess we'll see where we end up.

When we got back Rob and I worked on building a gingerbread house. When we first arrived here my Mom picked up a kit for us. I've never made a gingerbread house before and have always wanted to. It was really fun and ended up looking rather good. When we were done we got ready to go out to dinner.

One of the few places that's open around here on Xmas eve is a Chinese restaurant. We usually end up going there. Dinner was yummy (the Chinese place out here is one of the ones I very muchly like) and we headed home afterwards. Now, we're once again chilling out around my Mom's house. They're watching TV and I'm messing around on my Mom's laptop. I don't think we're going anywhere tomorrow. We'll probably just hang out around here and open presents. My Mom's cooking turkey for dinner tomorrow night.

You Are "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer"
Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer Had a very shiny nose. And if you ever saw him, You would even say it glows. For you, Christmas is a mix of tradition and fun. You're not above strapping on a red blinking nose for a laugh.
