Mood:
I couldn't be happier.

Today Rob and I got up around noonish and showered and got ready. We then headed downstairs for some snacks that my Mom put out for us. We had some meat, cheese, veggies, dip, etc. to tide us over as a snack before our main dinner. After snacks we opened presents. Everyone seemed to be happy with what they got. Rob and I got my Nana a fleece sweater, a huge crossword book, and a new crossword dictionary. She gave each of us a cool sweater (Rob's is a Polo one and mine has faux fur trim on it) and some cash. Some of the things we got my Mom were some bath and body works stuff, a fleece sweater, slipper socks, a nightgown with matching slippers, navy blue Uggs, and a box full of red eyed tree frog items. She got Rob some DVDs and some cool clothing. Some of the things she got me were a kitty hoodie, penguin pyjamas, a DVD on Pilates, purple Uggs, black Uggs, and a bunch of other things that elude me. At the end of it all Rob and I exchanged our gifts to each other. I got him a gag gift (a squeaky plastic cheeseburger - it's an in joke) and an Ebel watch. The watch looks incredible and my Mom was pretty surprised when she found out that I was able to get him an Ebel. The present Rob got me was the coolest Xmas gift I have ever gotten in my life. It's a 14k white gold three stone diamond ring. The diamonds are 1 carat total weight (.40 in the center and .30 on either side) and are princess cut (it's a square cut). It looks absolutely amazing and just sparkles in the light. When I opened it up he took the ring out of the box, got down on one knee, and re-proposed to me. He asked me to marry him... again. Rob really has to be the coolest husband in the world (and of course I would marry him again, in a heartbeat).

After opening presents Mom finished cooking dinner and we had a super yummy turkey dinner. For the first time since high school I wasn't sick and was able to eat and taste the dinner. It was turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry relish and fluff, stuffing, corn, rolls, and blackberry fluff. Pumpkin pie will come later, we ate a few hours ago and are still stuffed to the gills. Dinner was amasing. I absolutely love traditional turkey dinners. We stuffed ourselves on the dinner and had some local red raspberry wine with dinner. The wine and the turkey hit me hard and after clean up I was exhausted. Rob and I took a two hour nap while my Mom and Nana watched a Xmas movie on TV. When we got up we headed into the TV room with them and once again are working on the computer while they watch TV. I'm greatly enjoying my time out here and really don't want to head back to L.A. - ever.

We're currently having a beautiful white Xmas out here. It snowed last night and actually stuck to the ground. And it snowed today (and is still snowing out). Not blizzard conditions or anything, just a nice light snow, but enough to stick on the ground and make everything look beautiful outside. Though Rob noticed something interesting. Around dusk it looked like there was no color outside. The leafless trees, the snow, the dusk - everything looked like something out of a black and white movie. It's beautiful out here and that really does make up for the bitter cold. But then again I've never had major issues with the cold. For those of you D&D players out there, Rob always jokes that I'm "cold subtype" (immune to the cold but take damage and a half from heat) and he's probably right.
