2004-12-26 11:37 PM Mall and Boat Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Happy, but not wanting to leave so soon. Read/Post Comments (4) Today my Nana didn't feel like going out anywhere and my Mom didn't want to leave her alone, so Rob and I went out on my own. That's right, Rob drove my Mom's BMW. And he did a great job of it. We decided to head out for the day and our first stop was for lunch at Culver's. That place is so freakin' yummy (and addictive) we need them out in L.A. - seriously, this place can rival even In N Out! Lunch was yummy and after we were done we headed to the mall in Dubuque. We stopped to get some piggy toe socks (don't ask) at J.C. Penny's, some condoms at Walgreens (time again for the non-latex kind *sigh*), some body lotion at Bath and Body works (it is SO dry out here), and to look at a comforter at Younker's. Rob and I have wanted to pick up a down comforter, but they're just so expensive. My Mom said that my Nana had picked one up there last summer and that is was super on sale ($90). So, we decided to check it out. My Mom didn't think they would have any and if they did that they would be regular price. We decided to check anyway. Not only did they have them in stock, but we were able to get one for only $87 (including tax). An excellent deal. We picked a purple one. Now we just need to make sure that it fits in our suitcase. After the mall we headed to the gambling boat. Neither Rob nor myself had any luck there this time. We spent about an hour there and ended up losing all the money we put aside for gambling. Oh well, we knew it could happen and Rob can't be lucky at the tables all the time. When we were done on the gambling boat we headed back to my Mom's house and got ready to go out to dinner. Dinner was in Galena at a restaurant called Fried Green Tomatoes. Very yummy food, but I could have the soup (it had lobster and clams in it and I'm allergic to shellfish - an allergy that can kill me) or the salad (it was loaded with onions). Other than that, dinner was very good. We're now back at the house and watching TV. In two days we'll be back in L.A. and I'm not looking forward to that at all. I don't want to go back, but I really have no choice because Rob needs to be back at work on Wednesday. Grr. We really need to consider moving out to either Illinois or Wisconsin. ----------
Your soul is bound to the Burning Rose: The Rapture. "I go where my heart beckons me, and I go with my head high. But sometimes, I get a need until I bleed so my heart swims above my head." The Burning Rose is associated with passion, intensity, and desire. It is governed by the god Eros and its sign is The Flame, or Physical Love. As a Burning Rose, you can get lost in the moment if you let yourself. You are a very physical person, be it in relationships, work, or play. You may be driven by your hormones sometimes, but you know it's because you have to follow your instinct.
