Don't Want To Leave

Mood:
Not looking forward to heading back to L.A.

Except for the extreme dryness of my skin, the cold doesn't really bother me all that much. At least, not enough to have me ready to head home tomorrow. I really do not want to go back home. The only thing I'm looking forward to is seeing Sydney and Amber. Other than that, I wish I could stay out here forever. The time I have left here is far too short. *sigh*

Rob and I slept in a bit this morning. When we got up and ready we decided to head into the main part of Galena (where all the shops are). My Nana didn't want to leave the house again which meant that my Mom had to stay with her again. So, once again it was just Rob and I. He drove and we headed into town. We walked the entire town (it was in the 20's and the cold didn't bother me at all) and went into a bunch of stores. We promised to bring the kitties presents when we came home (one time when we forgot Amber copped an attitude with us and was naughty for a good long time afterwards), so we bought a few things for them. I got Sydney a crunchy cloth bag for him to play in (he's weird and likes things that sound like crinkly paper). Rob bought Amber a new brush and a small stuffed... thing. It's either a really pudgy fox or a gerbil thing. Either way it's cute. We also stopped in the Paradise for some drinks (and the bathroom). Rob got some soda (he was driving) and I got some Vanilla Schnapps and coke. Mmmmmm. Yummy. We then headed back to my Mom's place.

The four of us were supposed to head out to dinner at a steak house since this is our last night here. However, once again my Nana would not go. At least my Mom was willing to come with us. On the way to dinner we made a quick stop at The Galena Teddy Bear Store and Rob got me an *adorable* teeny stuffed kangaroo rat. Until today, I didn't even know what the heck a kangaroo rat was. We then headed to dinner. We went to the Backstreet steak and chophouse for dinner. I had a filet. Dinner was super good, but Rob indulged a little bit too much and now feels "like a sick moose". After dinner we came back home and now we're getting some laundry done and watching a video of Meet the Parents. Once laundry is done it will be time to pack. As I said before, I really do not want to leave tomorrow.
