Rob attempted to duck out of work a bit early today. On his way out, he got dragged into a meeting because people needed spreadsheets explained to him. They knew it was his birthday, they just didn't care.

When he did get home from work we did some... things and then got ready to head out for dinner. We met up with Berek and Pita at Buca Di Beppo and had reservations for the kitchen table at 8:30pm. Dinner was a blast. Berek and Pita got him a computer game (I think it's called City of Heros) and three months of pre-paid play time. He really liked it. We talked and joked and ate a whole lot of Italian food. I tried to pin something to Rob's shirt announcing he was 30 and saying that people should wish him a happy birthday, but it kept falling off. So, one of the waiters made him a huge paper dunce hat which announced that it was his 30th birthday. Rob, in good humor, put up with it. It did get noticed and a few people walking by our table on the way into and out of the main part of the restaurant did wish him a happy birthday. After dinner Berek and Pita headed back to their place and Rob and I headed back home. Rob said he had a great birthday dinner. Thanks Berek and Pita!

I'm currently wide awake and just fiddling around on the computer. Rob's in bed napping. We have some further private plans for tonight, but he wants to take a nap so he has some energy first.
