Saturday Rob and I got up early because I had an 11:30 hair appointment out in Montclair. Once again, I was changing colors. While the light brown with the platinum highlights looked cool, I didn't really like the brown much. So, it was an all day project for me at the hair salon. Rob only got his hair cut. I went through many a conditioning treatment so that I still had hair after everything that was going to be done to it. First came the multitude of conditioning and protein treatments. Then my hair had the brown pulled out of it and went to a very light blonde. When that was washed out, it was time for more conditioning treatments. After that the filler was put on it and my hair ended up very yellow. Dennis warned me not to freak out in this stage before everything even began. Then that was washed out and the final dying happened (some gold/beige mixed with some red/gold) At 5:30, I walked out of there with an amazing color. It's a light golden blonde with just a hint of red to it. The color is incredible and both Rob and I absolutely love it. There's a really good chance I'll stick with this for awhile as long as it doesn't fade fast.

When we left the salon we made a stop at Lionheart for some D&D minis and then had dinner at Baker's Square (they have the most amazing French Silk pie). By this time we getting kind of tired and so we headed home.

Sunday we got up early again and decided it would be a great day to head to the Ren Faire. It was going to be overcast and nice out, and that's exactly what we like. I love the Ren Faire, but the problem I usually have is that it's always too hot and I need to leave early because I end up with a bad case of sun poisoning (and then I'm sick for a week after). Not so yesterday. Perfect weather.

The Ren Faire is in a new location this year because it's usual location got destroyed during the massive rains we had during the winter. I like the new location a lot better. It was in a park so it was nice and grassy, and there wasn't dirt being kicked up everywhere. The old location would always have a lot of dirt being kicked up and when you're asthmatic, it's not good breathing that in. The day was wonderful. It was overcast and in the 60's (my perfect weather) and didn't end up sprinkling like it was supposed to.

We spent pretty much the whole day (from 11am to 4pm) wandering around. Rob got me an amazing necklace made on a machine that was used to mint coins in the Renaissance times. On one side there's a turtle, and on the other there's a dragon. I also picked up some more leather roses to put in the milk bottles that I fill with shiny rocks. We looked around at a lot of the merchandise and wanted to buy way more things than we could. They have some amazing things there.

The highlight of the day was the turtle racing. It was so much fun. Our turtle came in a close second... like a fraction of a second after the winning turtle. Wish he would have come in first because we could have won either a goblet set or a sword. I would have gone with the sword. It's always fun to be armed.

We also made good use of the food area. Ah, is there anything better than sitting on a pile of hay eating a turkey leg? I didn't think so. The day was absolutely amazing and if there's another weekend with nice, cool, overcast weather we're probably going to head back there one more time before it closes.

The Faire is a lot closer to us than it was last year and so we made it home in under a half hour. We grabbed some Jamba Juice on the way home and napped for three hours. We were both exhausted. After our nap we ordered in some Indian food, gamed, and then passed out for the night.

You May Be a Bit Borderline ...

Your mood swings make a roller coaster look tame!

When you're up, you're a little bit crazy...

And when you're down, your whole world is crashing

Scary thing is, these moods can change by the minute!
