Feeling Better

Not as sick.

Yesterday Rob spoke with one of the doctors at his hospital and told the doctor my symptoms. Apparently, I have a very bad case of food poisoning. There's not much that can be done for it now. If I would have gotten in to the hospital within a few hours of getting sick on Sunday night, they could have pumped my stomach. But now, the only thing to do is to wait it out and let the bug pass through my system. It's not even in my stomach anymore. It seems to be in my intestines. Lovely.

Last night was horrible. I couldn't even keep a smoothie in me without running to the bathroom. Chicken broth seemed to be the only thing that wouldn't cause me severe agony. I also didn't get much sleep last night because I spent more time in the bathroom than I did in the bed.

Today is somewhat better. My bouts of sweating and overheating and then suddenly being super cold and shivering are gone. My abdominal pains have lessened (though they're still there, they're at least bearable) and I can actually walk without wincing in pain. That's something good. I also haven't passed out from the pain today. Also a good sign. Hopefully, this will completely pass out of my system in the next few days. I hate being sick. Especially when it's something like food poisoning. While I can't keep myself from catching a bug that someone else has, I can at least be smart and not eat a turkey leg on a hot day. Ah well, if we make another trip to the Ren Faire this year I know to stay away from the turkey legs. I'm pretty certain that's what did it to me.
