A Very Crowded Promenade

Rob and I slept in today, though he got up a bit earlier than I did. By the time I got up Rob had already installed the wireless router and had the laptop working on the network. On the bright side, City of Heroes managed to load up on the laptop (it wouldn't load onto our desktop). Unfortunately, the laptop's graphics card is too old and the computer won't play the game. I think when it comes to this game, Rob is cursed.

When I got up we worked on our iPod playlists for a little bit (the other day I managed to finish off putting our CDs onto it) and then showered and got ready to go out. We decided to head to the Promenade. Wow, that was a mistake. We're never doing the Promenade on a Saturday night again. It was way too crowded and it was even had to find an open parking lot.

There were a few stores I wanted to look in so we headed into Sephora where I got some lotion that smells like my perfume, or at least I thought I did. The tester was lotion and I took the bottle next to the tester. It wasn't until I got home that I found out I had gotten body wash instead. And I didn't notice it until I broke the seal and tried to put some on. So, that was a waste and I can't return it. Fuck. I had a bit better luck at the Skecher's store. There were some cheap flip flops that I really liked (and were really comfy) that I got. I wanted to also get a pair of sneakers, but they were too narrow. Skecher's makes some narrow shoes and they don't work for me. I'm flat footed and since I have no arch narrow shoes won't fit me.

After shopping we headed to the King's Head Pub for dinner. More yummy British food. Their fish and chips plate was HUGE and while I could only eat on piece of fish Rob was able to nibble the other one when he finished his lamb pie. When we were done with dinner we made a stop at Tower to see if they had the Era CDs I was looking for, but they don't. We called the one on Sunset and Amoeba and they don't have them either. Looks like I might be left having to get them through Amazon and hoping that no one steals them before I can get them. Again.

On our way out of the Promenade we grabbed some crepes for dessert. I finally tried the one Pita always raves about (lemon and sugar) and it was amazing. Nice and light. We then headed back to the car and back home.

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.
In love, you feel the most alive when everything is uncertain, one moment heaven... the next moment hell.
You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was ruthless, cold-blooded, and sarcastic.
Your ideal relationship is comforting. You crave a relationship where you always feel warmth and love.
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.
