If I Could Have Just One Wish, It Would Be For A Longhorn Cowfish

As a heads up, you might not want to click on any of the quiz links of my previous "Quiz Diva" quizzes. All the ones I post from now on should be fine to take. Apparently the Quiz Diva site changed (literally) overnight from a racy quiz site, to a porn store. And when you try and take a Quiz there, you end up on a sex toy website with no links to quizzes (at least as far as I can tell). Meh.

Yesterday was wonderful. Rob and I slept in and then headed to the Aquarium of the Pacific for new member's night (7-10pm). Being there at night rocks. We didn't have to get up super early, the weather is more bearable at night, and there was a LOT less people to deal with. So nice.

We didn't have to pay anything to go, our membership took care of that. How sweet is that? As a side note, next month is a member sleepover. I think we're going to have to do that. Spending all night in an aquarium is like a dream come true for me.

Anyway, yesterday rocked. We got to see the fishies without a crowd. Rob's crab minions did the crabby dance for him. And one of my birdie minions (I think it's called an Auck) did a crazy water dance for me. I think he just wanted the attention. One of the Puffins seemed to take after Sydney. It was sitting by the door to the exhibit looking like the minute someone opened the door, it would make a break for it. For the first time we've ever seen, the octopus was out of it's hiding place. Of course when we and another family crowded around it's area, it went back into hiding. Still, it was cool to see it out for once. The otters were crazy. One of them was playing with a plastic toy and beating it up against the glass, almost as if trying to crack an oyster shell. Another one was just swimming like a little wheel/ball of otter. It looked like Sonic the Hedgehog with what it was doing. The sharks were doing their sharky thing and the others in the tank were sleeping. The best thing of all though was the Longhorn Cowfish. There used to be an adult one in one of the tanks, but it's been gone for awhile now. However, now they have a group of babies in the small tank area for babies. Soooooo cute. They don't look like infernal twinkies quite yet. They're almost round and just the cutest fish I've ever seen. They're also about the size of a D20. They were definitely my favorite. I could stare into their tank for hours if I had the time. Down the road if Rob and I get an aquarium, I want a Longhorn Cowfish! They're my all time favorite fish.

After the Aquarium we headed back to our neck of the woods, did some grocery shopping (I got a ton of things to make salads for my lunches this week), grabbed dinner at Subway, and then headed home. At home we watched some of Adult Swim and then went to bed.

Today I'm doing a ton and a half of laundry. That's what most of my days this week will comprise of. That, and getting ready for our vacation. Tina (our cat sitter) came by this afternoon and we went over the paperwork and I paid her in advance for her visits. So, we have the cat sitter all lined up for next week. I have a ton of things to do before we leave and it just doesn't seem like enough time to do everything in.
