Yesterday Rob and I got up at 6:30am, got ready, finished packing, and then the limo picked us up at 9am. The drive to the airport was very fast. The driver was going around 95 both on the freeway and on the side streets! We got there in less than a half hour.

The night before Rob called up United at LAX and asked where the check in was for First Class. Last time our ticket said Terminal 7 and it was really Terminal 6. They told us it was still in Terminal 6. So, we had the car drop us off at Terminal 6. Whoever Rob spoke with was a moron. It wasn't in Terminal 6. We had to head to Terminal 8 to check in. Trotting around in the heat is what we wanted to avoid. So not cool.

When we finally got there, check in was a breeze and there was pretty much no line in the first class security check point. We got to the gate ASAP. And while that was cool, we were there three hours early. Bored. We grabbed some foodage and waited around for our plane to board.

It boarded and took off on time. The flight was pretty uneventful. However, there was a total spoiled princess skank across the aisle from us. When the flight attendant told her to put her seat up for take off and landing she would do so only until he had to go and sit down and then she'd put it right back down. She sat with her feet on the wall in front of her and bought both seats in her aisle. One for her and one because she wasn't going to put her Chanel bags in an overhead bin, so they had to have a seat as well. Wow. Scary person. Rob slept through most of the flight and I dozed while semi-watching the in flight movie of Guess Who. Ugh. That movie would have probably been a lot better if I hadn't seen the original. Ashton Kutcher is NO Sydney Poiter. Bleh. Don't bother with that movie, it's crap. Just see the original.

Our plane got in on time, but it took a half an hour for someone to come and move the tunnel that attaches to the plane so we can get off. We met my Mom in baggage and headed to the car after getting our luggage. The ride home to my Mom's house was pretty uneventful. We stopped at Culver's for dinner and made it to her place around 11pm. When we got there we watched some TV and then went to bed.

Today Rob and I were both exhausted so we slept in until a little after noon. Once we were up and showered the four of us (my Mom, Nana, Rob, and I) headed out to Dubuque. We made a brief stop at the mall to look for some clothes that I've been having some problems finding, but had no luck. We also checked a fabric store and didn't have much luck there either. At the mall we got some books at a Border's sale and Rob bought me two super cute keychains... one's a cat and the other is a teddy bear. So cute.

After the mall in Dubuque, we looked around at some houses. Wow. There was a HUGE house... near mansion size that was on the market for $350k. Damn. You can't even get a piece of crap in the ghetto for that!

We then went to the Log Cabin for dinner. Yum. It has one of my favorite appitizers... saganaki. I dig that place. After dinner we came home and now we're watching TV and I'm doing a few things on my Mom's laptop. Not too sure what we're doing tomorrow. I'm hoping to get in contact with my Dad at some point tomorrow though. We'll see if that happens. I'm not holding my breath.
