pregnancy

Getting migraines is never fun. It's even less fun when you can't take anything for them. Tuesday night I had a super bad migraine. I went to sleep and tried to shake it off. Wednesday it wasn't a migraine anymore, it turned into a really bad headache. And then Wednesday night it went back to a migraine. Ugh. Even now I still have a minor headache. And to top it off, my lower back and my hips are killing me. So is the sciatica. Let me tell you, driving with sciatica is not a pleasant experience. So, that's my bitching for the day. Now on to the good stuff.

Yesterday I had my 12 week checkup. Getting to the doctor's office was pretty uneventful. It was painful driving, but I got there just fine. I got there early as usual because I need to drink a lot of water before my appointment (every time I'm there I need to pee in a cup). If I drink the water and then head out, there's a good chance I'll wet myself if I hit a bump in the road. So, it's best just to get there early and drink the water there.

Since Rob's boss no longer wants me in the office, I waited around in the medical library until Rob got off of work. I just read a magazine and drank my water. Once Rob was off of work we both headed up to the doctor's office. They did the usual - pee in a cup, weighed me, and checked my blood pressure. Everything looked good. Then I was led into the ultrasound room.

I got another transvaginal ultrasound. While uncomfortable, it's so cool to see the baby. Since my last visit (at 8 weeks) the baby has gotten so much bigger! And she no longer looks like a chicken nugget. We saw an actual person in there. Head, arms and legs, and a little heartbeat. So cute. It wasn't a great picture since it's a low resolution machine and she wouldn't stop moving, but it was still nice to see her. Wow, she's a spaz! She kept kicking her legs and it looked as if she was doing the frog kick. Quite the little acrobat! Dr. Hill tried the doppler so that we could hear her heartbeat, but she couldn't pick anything up yet. So, we'll be doing that again the next time we're in (at 16 weeks). She also gave me information on the triple screen test. I don't think I'll be doing that, but I'm not sure. If you've had it done, or if you've been pregnant but decided not to have the test done please let me know. I'd be interested in talking to people who have done it and those who have not done it.

After the appointment Rob and I got some dinner and headed back home. At home we gamed, watched the news, and went to sleep.

Desert Eagle

You use a Desert Eagle.
One of the most powerful handguns in production, the Desert Eagle is a heavy punch in a small package. Its reliability and speed are remarkable for a gun with such high caliber. Your enemies won't stand a chance as you fell them bullet by bullet.

What's Your Signature Weapon?
