Last night Rob and I headed over to Burbank for dinner and a movie. We had dinner at Fuddrucker's and then saw a 7:20 showing of Sky High. That movie really surprised me. I wasn't expecting much from it at all and the only reasons I even went to see it were because Rob wanted to and because Bruce Campbell was in it. So I was a wee bit surprised that it was actually really good and entertaining. Definitely a fun "popcorn flick". It's nice to have a good surprise every now and then at the movies. Normally I'm surprised at just how much something can suck. This is definitely a film worth seeing if you want something fun (think Harry Potter meets The Incredibles with Bruce Campbell as the sorting hat).

Tonight we were going to have D&D (and our big knock down drag out fight with the Gnoll diety Yeenoghu), but game was cancelled on account of sickies. Berek and Pita came down with some sort of bug, and I just cannot be around sick people right now. I have a weakened immune system as it is, and the doctor warned me that being pregnant will only make it worse. And since I'm pregnant and there are almost no drugs I can take if I get seriously sick (I'm allergic to the only antibiotics that are safe during pregnancy) I need to make damn sure I don't get sick or it could really hurt both me and the baby.

Unfortunately this might throw a crimp into Saturday night's plans as well. We had plans to go to Club 33 (which I've been dying to check out - it's the elite club that costs an arm and a leg to have a membership to at Disneyland) tomorrow night for Carrie's b-day party. However, my appearance is going to depend on if Berek and Pita are there (and if they're still sick or contagious). I'd love to be there, but like I said, I just cannot risk getting sick right now. So, we'll see what happens with that. Oh, and to top it all off I can't even take any of my usual herbal remedies to try and stave off being sick. Right now I just need to do what's best for my health and the health of my baby.
