Read/Post Comments (0) Earlier this evening (when Rob got home from work) he and I took a nap. We were both super tired and the nap felt amazing. Besides, it was going to be one hell of a game tonight and we both wanted to make sure we were awake for it. People got here for D&D a little after 8pm and everyone was here. Tonight was the big game that the entire game had been building up to for the past 2 and a half years that the game has been running. Us versus Yeenoghu (the Demon Prince of Gnolls). Personally, I thought we were going to get our asses handed to us. I was wrong - though asses did indeed come into play. I don't want to bore people with every detail of the game, but we won. Big time. We worked together very well to kick Yeenoghu's ass and Krynn (my character) was able to get all of his Gnoll followers to change sides and work for us. Hooray for being a diplomacy whore! Jocelyn (Carrie's sorceress) cast a wish spell and wished Yeenoghu's weapon (a huge three headed flail) up Yeenoghu's ass. And it worked. Betcha no DM has ever had to deal with that in a game before. Wow. Creative thinking on her part, and hey, it disarmed him and hurt him when he tried to get it out. She also sent a sphere of annihilation after him and managed to remove one of his arms with it. All in all it was an excellent game. Our group is a lot scarier than I thought and I think a lot of that is due to Sparhawk (Bryce's tank of a fighter who can deal 100+ damage a round). I normally am not a big fan of combat games, but I really enjoyed this one. A lot of people usually don't want the game to go past 11pm, but no one complained when we didn't end until 11:30pm. I think that shows that this was a really good game. Rob kicked ass as the DM and went along with the weird shit we threw at him (he could not have predicted a flail in a Demon Prince's ass) as best as he could. Though the look on his face was priceless when it happened. Anyway, like I said, super cool game. And none of our group died. Woot! Just wanted to do a bit of an update before bed. Mmmmm, bed. Sleep now. ----------
