Woot!!! Rob got notification a few days ago that he'll be getting both this Friday and this Monday off. Hooray for a four day weekend!

Due to recent major stressouts in our lives (Rob's more so than mine) we really need to get away, even for just a short time. While we can't afford the expenses of a full on vacation complete with cat sitter, we can manage one night away. So, we checked around and found an available room in Solvang for one night this weekend. Granted it's just a night, but it should be fun and de-stressing. I don't know if we'll do much in Solvang this time (depends on how I'm feeling and the temps) other than stuff in the hotel, but it doesn't matter. We can do a day trip there anytime. Getting a night away in a nice hotel is a different story. We're both excited about this. It should be fun. We're going to bring some sparkling cider with us (since I can't have any alcohol) and maybe some grapes and the like. We're also going to try and get some yummy cheese from the cheese place out there. All in all, it should be a fun and relaxing time. We're both looking forward to it. I can't believe our luck in being able to find an available room for this weekend!
