2005-09-09 3:24 PM Cool Greenish Pedi Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: So-So Read/Post Comments (0) Last night Rob and I headed over to Oasis for pedis. We toyed with the idea of a movie, but I really needed a pedi. The place has a new set up. It's a bit more cramped, but they fit in a lot more pedi stations. This time Rob wasn't the only guy there! There was a guy getting a mani there as well while his wife was getting a pedi. My feet feel so much better after the pedi, I so needed one. I got my toes pained a very neat color, it's kind of a combo between an olive green and a bronze. It's very greenish, but also somewhat metallic. I dig it. We had to schedule our pedis later than usual because they were booked up so we grabbed dinner beforehand. We went across the street to Boston Market where I made a rather odd discovery. During my pregnancy most bird dishes (chicken and ostrich) that I've had have made me extremely nauseous. The baby does not want me eating chicken or ostrich. However, I was fine eating turkey last night. Even looking at their chicken made me want to york, but the turkey was fine. How bizarre. I wonder why it is that I can stomach turkey but not chicken or ostrich. Weirdness. After the pedis we came home and gamed, watched the news and some shows on Food Network, and played some Hecatomb before bed. Today I managed to cut the hell out of myself while shaving my underarms. I got a little too close to a previous cut that I received when I fell the other day and boy did it bleed. As usual when I nick myself, I put the hand towel under my arm for pressure. Normally when this happens there's a few drops of blood on the hand towel and the bleeding stops after a minute or so. Not so today. When I removed the towel it was soaked through in blood (it was all I could to not to pass out) and the wound was still bleeding rather badly. I called Rob because I was pretty sure he had a styptic (I probably spelled that wrong) pencil somewhere for when he nicks himself shaving. He told me where it was and how to use it. Good thing we had it, it stopped the bleeding immediatly (though now it itches and burns like hell). Ugh. Normally I'm the opposite and my blood doesn't like to come out of my body (even if someone is trying to draw it). I have no idea what the hell was going on with me bleeding uncontrollably. Not cool. Now I'm washing the hell out of the towels and making sure the blood gets out of the hand towel. Ew. ----------
