2005-09-14 3:44 PM Red Eye Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Meh Read/Post Comments (1) Last night Rob and I headed to Burbank for dinner and a movie. We had dinner at P.F. Chang's because it was the only thing in the area that sounded even remotely edible to me. When we got there we waited maybe 30 seconds at the podium because the girl was on the phone making a reservation. The manager came over and apologized profusely for the "confusion" and sat us. He checked up on us many times during dinner and kept apologizing. He even comped us for our potstickers. Rob and I had no idea what the hell was going on with that. Anyway, dinner was good, but a bit weird. After dinner we saw a 7:40 showing of Red Eye which was surprisingly good. Not your typical Wes Craven movie, but still very good. I was skeptical about it going in (a Wes Craven terrorist movie???), but wow, it worked. Guess he's branching out a bit from horror to more suspense/thriller and it works! This is definitely something I would recommend. After the movie we headed home and crashed. I had yet another migraine. Oh, as a side note, we found out that the large AMC we usually go to on weeknight's in Burbank was vandalized (with graffeti) over the weekend. Wow, and I thought that was a fairly nice neighborhood. Just something that makes us want to move to Milwaukee even more. Speaking of which - as long as one of us can find a job out there, we're out of here. It's about 96% sure at this point. We're going to wait until the baby is born (because of health insurance and our lease), but then we're going to try and get a job out there. If one of us can find work out there, we're out of LA. Keep your fingers crossed for us, we really want this. Especially after seeing what we can afford property wise out here versus out there. ----------
