pregnancy

Today was extremely productive. Got up early, showered, had lunch, and then headed out with my Mom. Since the baby is pushing up against the steering wheel when I drive my Mom drove today. Probably not too safe for me to be driving if I have to stop suddenly.

We headed up to the Camarillo outlets. Stopped in Carter's for some adorable baby things (Rob and I will probably hit that place big time once we have the gender confirmed), hit Coach because that's what I always have to do there (no purses this time but my Mom did get me a super cool Coach watch - thanks Mom!), and went to Perry Ellis to pick Rob up a few things (2 pairs of work pants, 2 pairs of jeans, and 2 neat t-shirts - we weren't going to shop for the baby and myself and not get anything for him). From there we headed to a nearby Target. Picked up some more baby stuff (not clothing, this time a few bottles, bottle warmer, etc.) and some more drawer space for the baby's things.

We then headed out of Camarillo and back onto the 101. On the way home we made a pit stop at Pepperdine. The guard allowed us to park in the faculty lot since I'm pregnant. So nice of him. Our reason for hitting Pepperdine was the law school bookstore. Since Rob and I will be moving away after the baby is born I wanted to pick up some stickers and license plate frames to take with me. They don't have an online store and I always want something Pepperdiney on my car. Mom picked up a shirt for herself. I wanted an alumni license plate frame, but they didn't have one in stock. The guy working there took my name and number and said he'd call me when he gets some in. I hope he does. I didn't see anyone on the faculty there that I knew. And of course I wouldn't know any of the students anymore. It's kind of cool being back there as an alumni attorney and not as a student.

Mom and I headed home from there, but had to take the scenic route because the construction on Las Virgines was backing up traffic something fierce. On the way home we filled my car up with gas. By the time we got home Rob was already back. We unloaded our purchases and he tried on his new clothing. One of the pairs of pants is missing it's fastener so we have to head back up to the outlets sometime soonish for an exchange. Other than that, everything fit perfectly.

We chilled out around the house for a bit and then headed to Buca Di Beppo for dinner. Some caeser salad and pizza later and we were all happy and full. And this time nothing crapped on Rob's car. Woot. We then headed to the drug store for some of my meds and my Mom picked up some vitamins they don't carry in her area. We noticed something odd in the drugstore. They carry the Prilosec OTC behind the pharmacy counter. Their reasoning is that it's very popular because everyone around here has reflux from stress and people try to steal it. My Mom said that in her area that's just out in the open, but all the cold and allergy meds are under lock and key to prevent people in meth labs from getting them. Oddly enough, you can get as much cold and allergy meds as you want at our drug store. Guess our store doesn't care if people buy things for meth labs, but you just need to be careful of those shifty heartburn/acid reflux sufferers. Freaks. We stopped at Starbucks on the way home for my usual tea fix and then headed back here. Once again Mom is watching TV while I'm doing some quick work online. Tomorrow we have my 20 week doctor's appointment.

You Are Balanced - Believer - Powerful
You feel your life is controlled both externally and internally.
You have a good sense of what you can control and what you should let go.
Depending on the situation, you sometimes try to exert more control.
Other times, you accept things for what they are and go with the flow.

You are a true believer in luck, fate, and karma.
You believe that life is a game of chance - not a game of skill.
You either consider yourself very unlucky or very lucky.
No matter what, you don't feel like you can change the hand you were dealt.

When it comes to who's in charge, it's you.
Life is a kingdom, and you're the grand ruler.
You don't care much about what others think.
But they better care what you think!
