My bug slaying husband took care of the problem. We had some packs of soda sitting next to the fridge waiting for the room to go in. Apparently one of them sprung a tiny little leak and there was a small amount of soda under one of the boxes. This brought the ants. All of those soda boxes have been trashed. Rob sprayed the hell out of the ants and then vacuumed their bodies up. We also put out some ant traps. There's a few around today, but it's only one or two at a time. Not nearly as bad as yesterday. With the ant traps out I'm thinking they should (hopefully) be gone within a week's time or so. After dealing with the ant problem, we headed out of the house and to the Sherman Oaks mall. Rob stopped in the jewelry store where he had taken his Ebel watch to. It wasn't a battery problem, the entire circuit board needs to be replaced. They offered to do it for around $300, but we declined since I bought it for him for Xmas 2004 and it has a 5 year warranty on it. While he was there we found out that the guy who lives down the hall from us in 217 is the manager there. Rob will be mailing his watch into the company that handles the warranty. Hopefully we'll get it back soonish. While he was dealing with the jewelry store people I made a run into Lane Bryant. It's horrible being in there and seeing so many clothes I want and knowing none of them will fit me because of the pregnancy. So frustrating! I did end up getting a tank top and a scarf to complete my Halloween gypsy costume. Once we met up we headed out of the mall. Our next stop was at Aahs in Sherman Oaks. We wanted to see if we could find a gypsy costume for Rob. No such luck. And when we asked if they had any gypsy costumes for men, guess what the retarded clerk showed us? A toga costume and another fucking Pharoh costume. People are idiots. We found a linen pirate type shirt that could work with other costume parts and picked that up. I also picked up two Happy Bunny bodysuits for Gabriel. One is yellow and says "Cute but stinky, things even out". The other is black and has a baby Happy Bunny pointing at his diaper and says "This isn't going to change itself buddy". When we were done with Aahs, Rob called Cinema Secrets over in Burbank to see if they were still open. We were told they were closing at 7pm so we decided we'd head to it some other time. We then headed up to Encino and had dinner at Buca Di Beppo. They're starting to remember us there. Dinner was amazing as usual and when we were done we headed out to Burbank to go to the ATM and grocery store. On the way there we noticed that Cinema Secrets was still open. Looks like the person on the phone had no idea what they were talking about. So, we stopped off there. While they didn't have any gypsy costumes, they did have a Renaissance noble costume that worked just as well. It's pants and a vest. Rob also picked up a head scarf. Now all we need is to find him a sash to put around his waist and we'll be set. While we were there I picked up a cute little undead teddy bear. It's called Teddy Scares and they come in a variety of creepy styles. I got the broken hearted one that is holding black roses and a burlap sack with a heart in it. When I took it out of the box I was shocked, I was expecting to use it as a show piece, but it's probably one of the cuddliest bears I've ever had. So now I have an undead bear to cuddle. When I took it out of the box I also found out that it's "death date" is my birthdate! Too bizarre. Guess that's my perfect bear! From there we headed to the ATM and the grocery store. We then got some ice cream (mmmmm, they have pumpkin pie ice cream in) at Baskin Robbins and some tea at Starbucks and headed back home. Last night was amusing. While we were sleeping I was cuddling both Rob and my new undead teddy bear. At one point he opened his eyes, looked at the bear (it's dead white eyes glow in the dark), shuddered, and rolled over. Too amusing. I can now creep my husband out with my bear. Sweet. ----------
