Last weekend was amazing, and it's all thanks to my amazing husband Rob! There was no D&D on Friday, so we kicked off the weekend by heading to The Olive Garden for dinner. We were offered some new selections that the restaurant was trying out to see if the chain wants to put any of these new items on their menus. Rob ordered one (and filled out a comment card saying he loved it) and I got lasagna. I normally hate lasagna, but pregnancy makes you eat strange things. Things I normally hate I sometimes crave and things I normally love I can't stand. Dinner was great and when we were done we headed home because we were getting up early on Saturday.

Saturday morning we got up around 7:30am. After showering and getting ready we were on the road around 9am. We were doing a day trip to Solvang. Normally we go on a mini vacation for the weekend around my b-day, and this year I was hoping to get up to the central coast to see the Monteray Aquarium, but it just didn't work out. So, we figured we'd do a day trip to Solvang. I'm glad we did because I had a blast.

We got up there around 11:30am and found a parking spot with no problem. We headed to the De Stress Cafe to make appointments and then grabbed some lunch. My stomach was not in the mood for sausage, so we went to a little Greenhouse type cafe instead. I got a veggie sandwich and it was amazing, that's definitely a place we'll have to check out again. From there we looked around in a whole lot of shops. I had to take constant breaks because my back just isn't holding up well during pregnancy, but we did manage to walk the entire main part of town. At The Mystic Merchant I got a blue bunny carved totem and a crystal "dream stone" for insight. At a jewelry store I managed to find a beautiful white gold wedding band. The one I usually wear (the platinum one from Tiffany's that matches Rob's) now won't fit me anymore because of pregnancy bloat. So, I have something to wear during pregnancy which is a relief because I really prefer having a wedding ring on, especially during pregnancy! I also picked up another super cool b-day present for a friend whose b-day is coming up. Rob got Gabriel some things... a few books, a bunny ice pack, and a rubber ducky that tells you if the bath water is too hot.

When we were done walking around town we still had an hour and a half left before our 5:30 massage appointments. So, we decided to head to some local apple orchards. We got two bags of apples at Lisa's aunt's orchard and two more at an orchard down the street. Yeah, it's a lot of apples, but they're yummy and fresh! I've been gorging myself on apples all weekend. Love 'em. Once we got back with our apple booty it was time for our massages. Ah, how I love the De-Stress Cafe. I got a 20 minute seated massage and a 30 minute foot reflexology one. I felt so good when I walked out of there. After massages we headed to The Mandarin Touch for some yummy Chinese food for dinner and then we headed out of town.

On our way home we stopped at a grocery store for a few things and Rob got me some kick ass balloons. One is a jack-o-lantern and the other is a bat with gigantism of the head and little atrophied wings. I love them. I have a thing about balloons. I love them and they make me SO happy. In Solvang he got me a little dragon statue for my b-day and covered my massage. I swear, I'm married to the coolest and best gut in the world. Rob is amazing and makes me so happy! We made good time getting home and when we got home we chilled out around the house and went to bed.

On Sunday we crashed hard. Walking around Solvang took a lot out of me and my body just wanted to sleep. Unfortunately that's easier said that done. I am not getting good sleep these days. It's hard to get comfortable in bed and by the time I start to fall asleep I either have to get up and pee or Gabriel starts to have a kick-fest. *sigh* Guess it's preparing me for the lack of sleep that will come once he's born.

By the time the afternoon rolled around we decided to head to The Stinking Rose for dinner. We hadn't been there in years and it sounded good. I am so glad we went there. The food was AMAZING and it was a lot less expensive that I thought it would be. We have to go back again sometime soon. We picked up a cookbook, but it ended up getting ruined on the way home. It was in the bag with the leftovers which leaked everywhere. *sigh* So, the next time we go back we'll have to pick up another cookbook and keep it far away from the leftovers!

Today I'm doing a lot of laundry and around the house things and both Rob and I are dealing with the idiots at two shipping places. My problem is with FedEx. I ordered that kick ass purse from Coach (and I know they got my address right otherwise my credit card wouldn't have gone through) and got a call from FedEx this morning because they were confused about the address. They had writted the addy down as 4445 and not 4045. *sigh* I corrected them on this and they told me they would't be getting the package out today (even though it was supposed to arrive on Saturday and this was their fault). So, I might head there with Rob after work since I'm not supposed to be driving and just pick it up.

Rob's problem was with the post office. He was mailing his watch into the warranty repair place and they also messed up the address. So, it's a week later and it's been returned to him because the moron at the post office couldn't decipher that there's a difference between the number 101 and 110. I swear, the both of us are moron magnets and the idiots just keep on coming.
