Yesterday's evening plans (since I had a ton of laundry and other housework to get done) was going to be staying in and cooking a nice romantic dinner. Rob was going to make garlic spread for bread and a yummy penne pasta dish. We wanted to open a bottle of sparkling cider and just have a nice little picnic on our living room floor. Unfortunately, it didn't happen.

On the way home from work, Rob got stuck in a huge mess so he got home later than usual. When he was about to get on the freeway, an SUV in front of him turned onto the freeway onramp too fast. It tipped over and skidded to a stop on its side and blocked all of the lanes of the onramp. After wrangling his way out of the traffic clusterfuck, he made his way to another onramp.

When he got home, we needed to head out to the FedEx station where my package was being held (in the gheeeettttoooooo). As I mentioned yesterday, FedEx managed to screw up my address on the Coach purse I ordered. When they called yesterday and I gave them the correct address I asked when it would be delivered. Since a wrong attempt had already been made, they couldn't tell me for sure. They did know it wasn't going out anytime soon (even though it was 2-day expressed). They said maybe later this week or sometime next week. You would think a delivery company would be a lot less lazy than that and actually deliver a package when it's obvious it was express shipped for a reason. *sigh* Because they couldn't tell me when they would deliver it, Rob drove me over there to get the damn thing myself. It took awhile for them to find it, but I finally was able to get it.

By this time, it was already after 7pm. The garlic spread takes an hour and a half to make and we would still need to pick up all the ingredients for dinner from the grocery store. We figured if we cooked like we planned on we would be eating around 10pm or later. Since the cooking wasn't going to work out we just picked up a pizza from Barone's and headed home with it.

The pizza was cold by the time we got it home and was rather eh. I got my car insurance bill in the mail when I got home (all $2400 of it is due in about a week) and the package from the LB Catalog with the maternity shirts in it finally arrived. Unfortunately, they lied about their sizing. They said to get your pre-pregnancy size and that most of their things ran slightly large. So, that's what I did. Almost all the items are being returned because they either look like crap or are too small. So much for having some shirts that actually fit me while I'm pregnant.

The only thing that did go right yesterday was my purse. Once I got the package home I checked everything out and it's the right one. Since it was sold out everywhere else I was a little worried that it might not be the one I was looking for, but it was and it's perfect. Well, at least one thing went well yesterday.
