2005-10-31 3:34 PM Weekend Wrap Up Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Fighting off the sickies. Read/Post Comments (0) Friday night there was no D&D and I had a ton of things to get done around the house (including more laundry). So, Rob and I spent the night in, ordered in Chinese food, and gamed. Once again my weird taste in food showed up. I ordered fried rice for dinner, which is something I usually love. I took one bite and nearly hurled (and it wasn't because of the food, Rob tried it and liked it). So, Rob and I exchanged dinners. He took my fried rice and I took his noodles in peanut sauce dish. What's also weird was that I liked that. I normally hate anything peanut related and this I liked. Eating during pregnancy is a very weird thing. Saturday Rob and I had considered doing Dim Sum in the morning, but it didn't happen. Neither of us felt like sacrificing sleep for food and Dim Sum just didn't sound appealing to me. Nothing really sounded appealing to me. I think I was coming down with a cold because my nose was all stuffed up, my throat hurt, and I just felt crappy. We slept in a bit and then dragged our sleepy asses out of bed and headed over to a little ghetto Sav-On to get my little ghetto flu-shot. At least that's over with. I got the shot and then headed back home for more sleep. After napping we finally got up and got ready. Berek and Pita headed over to our place and we gave Pita her b-day presents and they gave me a super yummy smelling candle and a pretty necklace charm for my b-day. We then headed out. While the evening was fun, I felt like complete ass and felt worse and worse as the night went on. Our first stop was at The Game Zone where once again Berek was trapped in a conversation by a scary geek. From there we went to Taco Bell for dinner because we were all getting hungry and I was hoping it would help get rid of my headache. No such luck. After dinner we went to the Virgin Megastore on Sunset. I picked up a Current 93 CD that I didn't have and we got some italian sodas at a cafe next door. At this point we decided to call it quits and head home. Not only was Berek completely exhausted and sleepy, but I was feeling horrible. My headache was migraine level and I was dizzy and felt like I was going to throw up. The night was fun, but it would have been a lot nicer had I not felt like crap. We headed back home and Berek and Pita headed out. I watched some TV in bed and tried to pass out. For as tired as I was and as sick as I felt, I could not go to sleep. Every time I started drifting off I'd get a tickle in my throat and wake up coughing. Not being able to take any meds for this just made it so by 7am I still hadn't been able to fall asleep. Rob (being the amazing husband that he is) headed to the grocery store and got some honey for me. After drinking some of that it coated my throat enough for me to fall asleep without coughing. Sunday I slept in since I didn't get to sleep until early in the AM. During the day we just chilled out around the house and once we got ready we headed out to Lionheart. I needed a new dice bag and picked up a neat looking skull and crossbones one. We then made a stop at Linens N Things to check out warm (preferably down) comforters (since Amber peed all over my expensive Pottery Barn one a few months back). We didn't see anything of interest. I did however pick up some Halloween Peeps (thanks to Pita for letting me know they existed) and some Halloween Peep keychains. We then headed to Long John Silver's for dinner. After dinner we headed back to our neck of the woods and made a stop at the drug store and the grocery store before heading home. So far today has been just like any other weekday. I hate it when Halloween is on a weekday. *grouse* At least tonight Rob and I should have some fun seeing A Nightmare Before Christmas at the El Capitan. This is our last Halloween without a child. Next year should kick ass when we can take Gabriel out trick-or-treating. Halloween is my all time favorite holiday and should just get better when we have a son to share it with! Happy Halloween to all! ----------
