Mood:
Worried about my Mom.

Last night there was no D&D because at least two players were sick. Rob and I have both been told that I am to not get sick at all this year. If I get sick and something gets in my lungs, it's c-section time then and there for both the baby's sake and mine. So... hopefully I'll avoid the sickies until after the baby is born. My nose has been all stuffy and I spent most of the day today sneezing, but I have a feeling those are allergies because my eyes are also itchy.

So, Friday night Rob and I stayed around the house. We ordered in food (and I found out that chicken pot pie is not good for my numbers even if I don't eat most of the crust) and set up the Xmas tree. It's plastic, but for some odd reason Amber keeps trying to eat it. Even my little goat-kitty Sydney knows not to eat a fake tree. *sigh*

Today Rob and I headed to Rodeo Drive to make a run into Tiffany's for a few things. There's a white gold and amethyst (which will be Gabriel's birth stone if he doesn't come too early) ring that they had there that I wanted to see. I loved it! It's going to be my Xmas/baby present from my Mom so I checked it out and they're now sizing it. It was a size too small. They said we should be able to pick it up on or before Xmas eve. Hopefully, they're telling the truth. We also checked out their silver section and I picked out a silver bracelet for Rob to get me for Xmas. Yes, Rob and I both know what we're getting from each other, but it works out best that way. For the record, he's getting a black 4GB (the 1000 song one) iPod Nano. The reason we both know what we're getting is so that we like and use what we're getting. While surprises can be fun, they can also end up unused and ignored. So, it's better to get something the other person really wants and have it not be a surprise.

After Tiffany's we headed back to Burbank and had dinner at Picanha. Today is our five year dating anniversary. It's amazing to think that we've been together for five years now. Wow. It was a bit of a wait to get in, but we wanted to do something nice for our dating anniversary dinner. We've never been there on a Saturday night before and the meat guys were out in full force. The food was great and since it's a lot of protein my numbers should be all right tonight. After dinner we came back home for the evening.

I had a bit of a scare this morning when I got a call from my Mom telling me she fell down the stairs. She passed out at the top of the stairs and woke up with her head cracked open. Now, if this were my injury you know she'd be making me get in to the doctor or ER to be checked out. But try as I might, I could not get that woman to go see someone. Her head was bleeding and she probably has a nasty concussion, but she refuses to go to the hospital. *sigh* This is one of the many reasons I don't like living all the way out here. If I was within driving distance you can bet I'd be out there ASAP and forcing her stubborn ass into the hospital.
