Today Sucked

I actually managed to get some sleep last night so I feel a bit better. It wasn't a lot, but at least it was something. It also helped that I could sleep in a bit today. For some odd reason, I'm having a much harder time sleeping at night.

Once my Mom and I were up and ready we headed over to the Sherman Oaks mall. As usual, my first stop was the bathroom (when in doubt, you can find me in the bathroom). We then went to Bloomingdale's and that was when the day started to suck. I was getting Rob a surprise present and was told my ATM card was not approved. I was able to use another card, but then had to call the bank to see what the hell was going on. I was worried someone had gained access to my account or that it was frozen for no good reason like Rob's was the other day. Apparently, it actually wasn't the bank's fault. They didn't even see an attempted payment to Bloomingdale's on there. It was the Bloomingdale's system that had the error which pissed me off even more because the snobby guy behind the counter was a real dick when it said it wasn't approved.

From there we headed to Sephora becasue there was a gloss I saw in a recent magazine that I wanted to check out. I bought two tubes because it looks amazing on me. I'm very happy with that. However, when I was waiting in line at Sephora I started overheating again. Sweat was pouring down into my face, I was feeling very sick and dizzy and thought I was going to pass out, and the baby was in a way that was hurting my right side something fierce. When I got out of the store I headed to a spot on a bench, but some guy grabbed it before me. Since I was feeling really bad, I asked him if I could sit down for just a few minutes. I told him that I was eight months pregnant and feeling ill and like I was going to pass out. He told me no because he got there before me (which is only because he can run and I can only waddle) and wanted to play his hand held video game. The two people sitting next to him heard this and didn't offer up their seats either. I fucking hate this city.

So, since there was no seat I stood and held onto something until the dizziness passed and the pain subsided. When I felt better I picked up one more surprise for Rob (and a BIG one at that), got some shampoo at the beauty supply store, and then we headed the hell out of the mall. We toyed with the idea of heading to the mall in Burbank, but I wasn't feeling too well and so we just headed home.

When I got home I had the joy of finding out that our phone and answering machine no longer work. It's been on the fritz for awhile and there are a lot of messages it didn't take that we missed, but as of today it was officially dead. A few days before Xmas is not the best time for it to die. *sigh* This meant we had to brave Best Buy this evening. Not a fun thing. Mom and I waited for Rob to come home from work and wrapped up the two surprise presents for him. When he did come home my day sucked even more. He brought home a ton and a half of treats that people had given him at work (boxes of chocolates, chocolate caramels, a tub of popcorn, some crunchy nut things, etc.). A ton of things that look amazing to eat and are now in the house right in front of me, and I can't eat any of them. I hate having GD. While I understand him bringing these home, it blows to know that I can't eat them at all because of the GD.

Once Rob got home the three of us headed out to Burbank. We went to Best Buy for a new phone and answering machine. There's a reason we don't usually go to that Best Buy. The clerks there are rude fucktards. One of them who was flailing about wildly almost hit me and another wouldn't help us with our question until she finished her can of Pringles. After we picked out a phone I was following my Mom to get in line and a rude customer bumped into my pregnant belly pretty hard. That hurt for the entire time we had to stand in line.

Once we got the hell out of there we headed to Wendy's for dinner and then over to the Men's Warehouse. One of my Mom's Xmas presents to Rob is a suit. We found an amazing pinstripe one that's currently being altered. She also got him a shirt, tie, socks, and shoes to go with it. Damn, he looks hot in a suit! When we were done there we headed back home. We worked on setting up the phone and are now getting some laundry done. So, today sucked pretty hard in many ways and was very busy. Once I log off I'm going to relax! I need it.
