2005-12-25 9:35 PM Merry Xmas! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Mmmmm... turkey! Read/Post Comments (0) First off, I just wanted to say Merry Xmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! I had trouble sleeping again last night. Partly due to the restless legs, partly due to an active baby, but mostly due to the fact that my bladder can no longer hold much of anything and I was out of bed at least every half hour to pee. Oh well, things may be uncomfortable for these last few months, but at least I still don't have to worry about my period! When we were all awake we opened presents and spent the day chilling out around the house. Rob and I got my Mom some clothes (a faux fur trimmed hoodie, a long sweater jacket, a cool blouse, and a nightgown), a red eyed Santa tree frog (we have determined that she now collects red eyed tree frogs), and some remote light switches that she had been wanting. My Mom's gifts to Rob were a super cool titanium watch and a suit (suit, shirt, tie, socks, and shoes). Nice. She got me a pair of grey Uggs, a magnetic bracelet (that's supposed to promote health and healing), and a 18kt white gold and amethyst ring from Tiffany's. Rob got me a 14kt white gold and tsavorite (green) garnet ring, a silver bracelet from Tiffany's, and an amazing looking blue dragon box. I got him the black 4GB iPod Nano he had been wanting, an iTunes gift card, some leather slippers, and a big robotic raptor which he now terrorizes the cats with. We ate lunch/dinner around 3:30. My Mom made a turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. We had some other sides like olives, pickles, and a cranberry jelly that only Rob ate. Our pumpkin pie was made last night with Splenda since I can't have sugar. Dinner was incredible. After dinner the turkey made the baby sleepy which in turn made me sleepy. I took an hour nap and it felt so nice to actually get some real sleep. This evening we started getting some cleaning done around the apartment. We have a hell of a lot of cleaning to get done before Gabriel gets here and not a lot of time to do it in. We didn't even finish one closet in the span of two hours. Eek. I'm currently just doing some things online and then I'll chill out with my Mom and Rob. We just had to open the windows (I'm hoping we don't get bugs because of it) because for some odd reason our AC is blasting in a weird smoky smell. It's probably from someone running their fireplace (California people are weird - most don't know you're not supposed to use a real fireplace unless the weather is in the 40's or below). This building was built by someone on crack and one of the fireplace vents on the roof is right next to the intake for our AC. ----------
