2006-01-18 3:37 PM Gabriel Turned! Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Happy Read/Post Comments (0) Yesterday Rob picked me up during his lunch break and we headed over to Good Sam. I had an OB appointment with Dr. Park (the one doctor in that practice I had yet to meet) at 2:15. Before the appointment I chilled out in the employee break room playing Sudoku and having a bacon wrapped hot dog (with mustard and jalapenos) for lunch. A little before my appointment Rob met up with me and we headed to the doctor's office. The appointment started off the same way it always does. I got weighed (up 3 pounds), had my blood pressure taken (it was high again this time - 130/80, but I kind of knew that was going to happen what with the stress I'm under from one Uncle dying recently and another one not doing well at all in the hospital currently and my extreme lack of sleep), and peed in a cup. Good lord, it's getting hard to pee in a cup! Not only is it hard to get the cup in the right spot with a huge baby belly, but I have less pee to try and get in there since Gabriel is making my bladder capacity non-existant! Rob and I then went into the ultrasound room and waited for the doctor. Dr. Park is definitely cool, but I still like Dr. Hill the best. I got swabbed for my Group B Strep test (I'll find out the results at my next office visit) and had an ultrasound done just to see if Gabriel had flipped. Woot! He's upside down now! No more breech baby! I am very happy about that. The doctor wanted me to see Dr. Bochner again before my next appointment. He's the perinatologist. She wants to make sure that the GD isn't making Gabriel too big because if it does they'll induce me a lot sooner than my due date. So, I'll be doing that next week. After the appointment I headed back up to the employee break room to drink Diet Coke and play Sudoku and Rob went back to work. After work Rob and I went to Picanha for dinner (an always yummy place where I know my numbers will be fine) and then got me a box of sugar free chocolate caramels from the Rockey Mountain Chocolate Factory. I really needed chocolate. From there we headed home for the night. ----------
