False Labor And A Lurking Spider

There's a spider lurking about the apartment. It's been running all over the living room walls and is now in the small hallway outside of the bedroom. Hopefully it will still be visible when Rob gets home so he can kill it. I'm not going anywhere near it. Bleh. Must be a bad ass spider if neither of the cats will even try to kill it or eat it.

Last night I was craving salad so Rob and I headed to Souplantation. Granted, the only thing I can eat there is salad, but that's what I wanted so it was fine. Their other foods are things I can't touch while on the GD diet. While my baby ticker is counting down the days until Gabriel is here, I'm also counting down the days until I can eat normally again. Dinner was salad-y and from there we made a quick stop at the grocery store for cheese and then headed home. We finished cleaning off the desk and now the office/cat's bedroom is over and done with. Granted it's not perfect because we do have a lot of stuff, but it's much better than it was!

Last night sucked. I had the usual problem with sleeping (I only fell asleep around 5:30am and it was in the comfy chair not the bed) and false labor to deal with. I'm used to my BH contractions by now, and these were different. Usually the BH contractions are few and far between. Last night I was having non-painful (but definitely uncomfortable) minor contractions. They were not coming at regular times (but lasted for maybe 6 hours) and weren't getting any worse. I looked through the materials my doula gave me and through my pregnancy books and found out that this is called false labor. It's my body getting ready (anywhere from one week to one month) for the real thing. I'm just hoping I know when it's the real thing. This has prompted me to start packing for the hospital this weekend and I also need to look into something waterproof to put over my side of the bed in case that's where my water breaks.

Today has been spent doing some laundry (currently washing up the sheets), getting some computer work done, and trying to avoid the spider.

Maybe you could...
You scored 23% Cold and 51% Level-Headed!

In a pinch, you could do it, but you'd need a damn good reason to. And you're not going to be too happy afterward.
