Yesterday afternoon I wasn't feeling all too good. I assumed it was false labor. I'd get waves of nausea followed by a contraction. It sucked, but wasn't so bad that I couldn't take Sydney in for his vet appointment. We had a 5pm vet appointment for Sydney to get his annual check up and booster shot. We were in and out of there in record time, which is a good thing because once we got back home it all went downhill from there.

I don't want to get into all of the nasty details, but let's just say that last night was horrible. I was sick as hell either with some sort of stomach bug or from bad food. Things kept getting worse and I spent most of my time running to the bathroom. I had a fever of 100.2 (which is high for me since my normal temp is usually in the mid 97.somethings) and couldn't even walk without Rob's help. And when I did walk it was to the bathroom and back.

Eventually, Rob called Carmen. She said we needed to get the fever down ASAP and make sure I kept hydrated. She also recommended we call the doctor. I didn't want to bother the doctor in the middle of the night, so we tried to work on our own. Some Tylenol got the fever down under 100 and I kept drinking water, sugar free Kool Aid, and sucking on popsicles to make sure I didn't get dehydrated.

Sometime when I was sleeping last night the fever broke. I woke up covered in sweat and my temp was back down to normal. I'm still having to head to the bathroom though. Rob called the doctor today (Dr. Bohn was on call) and she said that in this stage of pregnancy it's fine to take some Kaopectate because we need to get my stomach problems under control. She also said getting re-hydrated is more important than keeping my blood sugar down and I'm supposed to start drinking Gatorade.

I've worked my butt off to not get sick at all during this pregnancy. I can only hope it clears up before Gabriel decides to come.

You don't care how you get there as long as you get there with class.
And having a little power doesn't hurt either!
