Saturday was the first time Gabriel has been out for an extended period of time. The three of us headed out in the morning for hair appointments out at Gebhart. I needed my color touched up and Rob needed a hair cut. Dennis wasn't there at the time so he'll have to meet Gabriel at some other point. He was getting the Hairstylist of the Year award. How cool is that? Sylvia and Margie were there and they had baby presents for us. Wow. I was shocked. The gesture was amazing and I never expected the people at my salon to get us gifts. We got some really cool things for Gabriel from them. We also showed Gabriel off to them. He was really well behaved and Rob took care of him while I got my hair dyed and I took care of him while Rob got his hair cut. My hair salon is one of the few things I'll really miss when we leave LA. I don't think I'll ever find another place that good.

After our hair appointments we headed to Lionheart Games. Marcelo was there, but Kat was at home taking a nap so we weren't able to see her. We showed Gabriel to Marcelo, his friend Chuck (who I know from my LARPing days), and to Lenny. Rob also picked up the new D&D book. From there we headed to the Babies R Us out in Ontario. Kat gave us a call when we were on our way out there because she was heading over to Lionheart to pick up Marcelo, but we were already on the freeway. We will meet up at some point though, hopefully this week.

At Babies R Us we picked up our usual weekly baby needs (formula, diapers, and baby wipes) as well as a few other baby items we needed including a Snuggle Nest. From there we headed to Golden China for dinner. Gabriel was also really good during dinner and only even made a peep when Rob left the table for a few minutes to go to the bathroom. The owner and staff knew I was pregnant so they oohed and aahed over the baby for awhile when we got there. Dinner was good and I'm glad we were able to go there because I've been wanting it for awhile now, but we hadn't had the chance to get out there with the baby until Saturday.

On Sunday Mindy gave us a call because she was in the area and stopped by. She brought some things for Gabriel and chilled out with us for awhile. She also took a shower because she had been out all night at her moving away party. Unfortunately Rob and I couldn't be there because the dinner was at a seafood restaurant (and I'm allergic) and the party was at a karaoke place. Fun, yes, but not a great place for a baby. So, it was great that she stopped by and we got to see her.

Once Mindy headed out Rob and I made a run out. We really needed to take my car out because it hadn't been driven for a month! We went to Krispy Kreme where we dealt with someone who got our order wrong THREE TIMES (and was super rude and hurried with us) and it was still wrong when we checked it at the cashier station. *sigh* We also stopped at Baskin Robbins. Because of the GD I hadn't had ice cream in far too long. They have a new really yummy flavor that's chai tea ice cream with ginger snaps in it. Wow. I'm happy we made that stop. We then headed home and did as much laundry as we could before bed.

Today Gabriel's diarrhea has gotten better. He still has a touch of it and is still pooping up a storm, but it's much better than it was last week. Looks like he's getting over whatever bug got him. So far, I still haven't had the time to shower or eat anything (it's currently 12:40pm). I hope I can at least shower before Rob gets home from work, but I never know. It all depends on if Gabriel is willing to sleep for a bit or not. I have a nasty headache and am really hoping it doesn't get to migraine level because a migraine and a screaming baby are a very bad combination.
