Mostly content, but hoping for a shower.

Ugh. Yesterday Gabriel had a screaming fit from a little before 10am until a little after 5pm. It wasn't until Rob got home that I was able to shower, drink, eat, etc. Though he (for the most part) quieted down when Rob got home, he still refused to sleep until later on at night.

So far, today has been much better. Gabriel slept pretty well this morning up until his feeding. Kat gave me a call around 9:30 and said she wanted to stop by before heading to have lunch with Marcelo. I was more than cool with that. She came over with Alex (who is three weeks younger than Gabriel) and we chilled out and talked.

It's kind of funny though, both of us have mentioned we have babies that scream a lot and are hard to quiet down. Both Alex and Gabriel were amazingly well behaved during the visit. They both settled down and spent most of the time being either quiet awake or sleeping. Wow. Maybe we just need them to be together to sleep. Either way, it was nice having some time talking to another adult (especially another Mom who knows what I'm going through) and some time where Gabriel was quiet.

Rob decided to come home and bring me lunch today (he's a seriously amazing hubby) even though it's pouring out. He got here a few minutes before Kat was heading out. She headed out and we snarfed our food because he had to get back on the road ASAP so that he would get back to work in time in the rain.

During this entry Gabriel woke up and wanted food. So, I gave him a bottle and changed his diaper and he started screaming. *sigh* And we were off to such a good start this morning! Right now he's being quiet (but is awake) in his bassinet. Hopefully he'll take a nap and then I can take a shower. You don't know just how good it feels to shower until it's really hard to fit one in during the day.
