Thoughts and Musings

Yesterday the in-laws flew in from New York. Well, except for John who has to work, but we'll get him out here soon enough. After Rob got home from work and we got Gabriel all washed and fed they came over and Gabriel got to meet his Grandma Linda, his Grandpa Charlie, his Aunt Donna, and his Aunt Ellen. I think they all liked him. It was great to see them again, neither Rob nor myself has seen them since the wedding - three years ago!

We hung around the house for a bit and then decided to get some food. Gabriel was particularly fussy yesterday so I hadn't had the chance to eat a thing all day and really needed to eat something. We all headed over to The Olive Garden over in Burbank for dinner. Had a bit of the issue with the seating (we were crammed into a booth that was not meant for six people and had no stroller room for Gabriel), but other than that dinner was good and it was great to talk and catch up with everyone. When dinner was over with we headed home and they headed back to their hotel.

Today the Rossels are at Disneyland. Rob and I needed to take Gabriel to the pediatrician this morning for his two month well baby visit. Rob's Mom mentioned last night that it might be best to skip doing something today because Gabriel might re-act poorly to the shots. While I'd like to have spent time with them today, she was right. Ever since the shot Gabriel has been fussing up a storm, even more so than usual and that's pretty damn fussy. Poor little thing started screaming during the shots and really didn't want to stop, even while taking a bottle.

After the pediatrician appointment we headed to Target for our weekly baby supplies and a few other items we needed, grabbed lunch at Wendy's, and then headed back to our place. Right now we're trying to get as much laundry done as possible since we're pretty much out of clean clothing. I'm not sure what we're doing tomorrow, we'll be giving the Rossels a call later on and making plans. Yay! Gabriel's first Easter!
