Mom's plane was delayed by two hours yesterday, but she did get into LAX all right and ended up at the apartment around 2:30ish. We chilled out around the house until Rob got home from work and then ordered in dinner and watched some TV.

Today Rob took public transportation into work so that Mom and I could use his car because my car is dead... again. *sigh* I'm having it taken over to Lexus on Friday and hopefully we won't have to wait there too long (can't get a loaner because of the car seat issue) for it to be taken care of. I really need a new car. Not only because mine is having issues and dying on me (this is the second time in a year), but also because while it gets really good gas milage for an SUV, it still doesn't get great milage for a car. I don't understand why my car is even having issues. Sure, it's five years old, but it's a friggin' Lexus and only has 25,000 miles on it. Aren't those care supposed to last forever? What the fuck?

Anyway, Mom and I used Rob's car today. I slept in for a little bit this morning (until 10am) while she watched over Gabriel. After getting ready we headed up to the Carter's outlet store in Camarillo. While Gabriel is a skinny little guy, he's also long and will soon need to go from 0-3 months to 3-6 months. So, we bought him a nice wardrobe for the bigger size. From there we went to Babies R Us for things like diapers and formula (and an adorable little turtle ball cap). After Babies R Us Mom made a run into The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf because we both needed some caffeine and we headed home.

Rob got home after we did and he's now at the grocery store. When he gets home we'll order something in for dinner and watch some TV before passing out. It's been a hectic day, but at least I got sleep. Of course, if it's not one thing it's another. Now that I'm not stressed over Gabriel because I have some help I'm stressed over my car being dead. Just once I'd like a break and have things go my way. Sheesh.
