Where Snails Go To Die

Snails come to our balcony to die. There's a snail shell stuck to the top of our balcony and has been there for close to a year now. Last weekend we noticed that a snail had climbed up our balcony window and sucked itself into its shell. Now the body part that's stuck to the glass seems to be withering and I can see (from the slime marks on the window) that it's smaller than it was a few days ago. So, I guess our balcony is a snail graveyard. I'm pretty sure the one on our window is either dead or dying. But because I'm no expert on snail anatomy I can't be 100% sure. Which means I can't open the door to go out and check. It's in such a place where if I open the balcony door, the door will hit the snail and separate its body from its shell. While I'm pretty damn sure this thing is dead, I don't want to take the risk and accidently kill it if it's hibernating or something. At least when we had squirrels I could tell if they were alive or not.

Yesterday Gabriel was fairly good and last night Rob and I gamed a bit and watched the TV adaption of Stephen King's "Desperation". It was actually a really good book to movie translation and I enjoyed it.

So far today Gabriel's been very fussy. I know he has a lot of gas because he's farting like a mad man, so that could be the reason for the fussiness. Either way he's not in a happy mood and these days if he's not in a happy mood then I'm not in a happy mood. Hopefully he'll take a nap or something, but with the mood he's in I'm not counting on it.
