Designing A Dragon

Last night Rob and I hung out around the house. We had the finale of American Idol on in the background and Rob (with his artistic prowess) designed a dragon tattoo for me. As far as American Idol goes, why did they need to drag it out for two and a half hours? The entire thing could have been done in the minute or so it would take to announce the winner. Please, spare us the boring pre-show and two hours of lame crap before the announcement.

Anyway, on to the tattoo. I currently have five and have planned on getting one more. On my back I have the heiroglyph for Bast on my left shoulder and the heiroglyph for Set on my right shoulder. On my left ankle I have a lynx paw print on the outside and a celtic fish on the inside. On my right ankle I have a devil dog on the inside. I always knew I'd need one on the outside of the right ankle to finish things up and have a balance. Now that the possibility of moving to Wisconsin is becoming a very real thing, I want to get my last tattoo before we leave. Sure, there are probably perfectly good tattoo places out in Wisconsin, but I trust Rob at Sunset Strip Tattoo. When I couldn't find Chester (the guy who did most of my tattoos) I headed back to Sunset Strip Tattoo which is where I found him because I know they hire the best artists. I was pleased with Rob's work both on myself and on Shannon (we both got tattoos on my 30th birthday) and knew I wanted him to finish up my body art. I don't want to have to try and squeeze something in when we're in the process of moving, so I thought getting it done this weekend would be the best idea. Rob and I have been toying with dragon designs for awhile now, but last night came up with the perfect one. The outline is done and tonight we'll size it and work on color schemes. I'm probably going to go with red since I had a bad reaction to the blue ink in my celtic fish. If all goes as planned, I should have my last tattoo (*sniff* I really like getting them and don't like that this will be my last one) by the end of this weekend.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend. Rob has both Friday and Monday off of work so we both get a four day weekend. Yay! Plus I have a lot of cool plans. Get a tattoo, see Al, and maybe (if we have the time and energy) head to the Aquarium or do Dim Sum. Either way, the tattoo and plans with Al are definite and both of those are things to look forward to. That and sleep. Mmmmm, sleep.

Gabriel's been a bit on the fussy side so far this morning. He's had a few screaming fits and after he finished his bottle (4 ounces) he wanted more. I made him up another bottle and he drank 3 ounces from that one. He was one hungry little boy. After 7 ounces of formula he pretty much went into a milk coma and is napping in his bassinet. When I'm not tending to him I'm working on the laundry. The baby load is in the dryer and the sheets are in the washing machine. I'd like to also get our clothing done and maybe even the towels if I have the time.

Holy crap! You are:
NIGHTCRAWLER!!!

If you had the power to teleport ANYWHERE at ANYTIME, where would YOU go? Actually, you are more rational and spiritual than the average X-Men, Night Crawler is always out to do the right thing. In real life, you're probably the "perfect" man or woman that everyone looks for, but you're too good a friend too see like that. Wow, can't ever get a break, eh?
