2006-06-08 11:25 AM And Now Gabriel's Sick Too Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Worried Read/Post Comments (3) I'm currently sitting here chugging Coke Blak to try and stay awake while Gabriel takes a little nap. Last night I felt too crappy to head out of the house. The drug store says they'll hold my prescriptions for 7 days, so I'll pick them up either tonight or tomorrow night depending on how I'm feeling. For now I think it's best to stay in as much as possible until I feel better. My head is no longer stuffy and I'm no longer running a fever. I still have crap in my lungs, but hopefully that will go away with time and coughing. I'm still having other problems left over from a bad reaction to some medication and if those don't go away soon I'll need to see the doctor next week. Hopefully everything will work itself out and my body will regulate itself. We'll see. One of my fears has come true and Gabriel is now sick. His symptoms are different than mine, but he's definitely got a bug. He's having some poop issues beyond his usual "Poopchuck-dom", running a low grade fever, and is a bit stuffy. He's also spitting up more than usual. When he gets fussy holding him seems to help and he just snuggles up against me. It's obvious that he's not feeling well and just wants to cuddle Mommy. I hate seeing him sick. I'd be willing to be all the sicker and take whatever he has into myself, but it doesn't work that way. I'd do anything to protect my baby and seeing him hurt or sick is one of the worst feelings in the world. Hopefully he'll get better soon. In happy baby news Gabriel has learned to turn over! A few weeks ago during tummy time he was able to turn over from his tummy to his back. As soon as he realized he could do this he knew that he could get out of tummy time just by rolling over. Now he's able to turn over from back to tummy as well. While this is great as a physcial step for him, it tends to worry me because I found him sleeping on his stomach last night and we ONLY put him to bed on his back. So now whenever I see him sleeping on his tummy I roll him over to his back. He's also babbling like a mad man. He has a lot of "words" that he uses on a usual basis like "ning" and "iggy". When we ask him what an "iggy" is he gets all wide eyed and freaked out that we know that word. It's really rather cute. He also had a complete giggle fit the other night when Rob and I were blowing "raspberries" on his tummy. God, I love this kid! ----------
