2006-07-31 10:40 AM Gabriel's New Noises Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Tired Read/Post Comments (3) Gabriel keeps freaking me out. Lately he's been making gasping noises which sound like he is having a hard time breathing. He's not in any distress and a lot of the time he is all smiles when doing it. At our last pediatrician appointment we asked the doctor about it and he said not to worry, it's just Gabriel experimenting with his voice and realizing he can make sounds when he breathes in as well as out. Even knowing this, it still freaks me out. He's also recently started to make raspberry noises a lot. That's way cute and doesn't freak me out like the gasping noises do. Speaking of Gabriel's pediatrician, we have a problem. We received a letter from their office the other day saying that they are no longer going to be a part of the Good Sam insurance plan. We could still go there, but we would have to pay the full amount of the visits until our deductible was covered (those in the plan are covered with no deductible). That's not a good thing because our deductible is very high. So, we need to see what to do and if we have to find a new doctor for Gabriel. *grumbles* Yesterday Rob and I decided to just have a lazy around the house day. We stayed in, ordered dinner, gamed a bit, played with Gabriel, etc. We toyed with the idea of heading out somewhere, but staying in just sounded a lot more appealing. It's also a whole lot easier on all three of us to take care of Gabriel when we're home. So, not only do I currently have an ear infection (which hopefully should be completely cleared up in a week from the drops), but I now also have a sty in my eye. Rob's sty is gone and I now have one. On the bright side (if there is one) it's on the outer part of the lower lid. I guess that's better than having it be on the inside of the lid. But now my eye is swollen and it hurts when I blink and itches other times. Ugh. How the hell did we both manage to get stys in such a short period of time? ----------
