Last night Rob and I shared another box of strawberry Pocky and Gabriel went absolutely crazy over the box. He desperately wanted the box and then started tweaking when he got it. I'm thinking there's something about that bright hot pink color that makes him go nuts. It's so adorable. I managed to get maintenance up here yesterday! Woot! I called down to the front desk and finally got in touch with someone. By that time, I was pissed and it was probably rather obvious to the guy. I told him about the outlets in our kitchen not working and about our sink not being fixed months after someone came to look at it. He said he'd "try" to get someone up here, but there were other more important things to be done. That's when I went off on him. "So, you don't think the fact that I need to heat my baby's bottle in the living room is remotely important?" He agreed to send someone up ASAP to look at the outlets, but couldn't guarantee me anything on the sink. "I know, it's been months since someone even looked at it, why would anyone bother to fix it now?" He said he'd have the guy check on that as well. Yeah, they probably think I'm a bitch, but I don't care. With what we're paying for this place we shouldn't have to put up with this sort of crap. So, after a few hours of trying to find out what was wrong, the maintenance guy finally fixed both our problems. We now have electricity back in the kitchen and our kitchen sink doesn't leak all over when it's on. Okay, so I'm a bit annoyed with BBC America. I watched the season finale of Hex last night (wow) and then found out that they'll be running the next season of the show in summer 2007! What the fuck? A year from now? They expect people to be interested in the show and remember what the hell they watched a fucking year from now??? A year from now I probably won't even have that channel anymore! I found out that there are DVDs of the show, but they're region 2 encoded and will not play on American machines. I'm tempted to see if I can find someone with that type of machine. Anyway, last night the three of us headed out for a bit to give my car a run. I made a stop at the ATM and we picked up some Boston Market and brought it home for dinner. We watched Hex and used Big Brother and So You Think You Can Dance as background noise while we gamed. My stuffie washing skills also cleaned up "changing table chicken" and Iggy since they were both crusty and smelled like sour milk. Neither are supposed to be machine washable, but if you put a stuffie in a pillowcase and tie the end you can throw a stuffie in the washer and dryer and it will come out fine (as long as you use the delicate cycles). ----------
Indeed, you are 62% erudite, 91% sensual, 66% martial, and 79% saturnine. Some people have extremely sensitive nerves and tend to become startled very easily. For this we can thank the God Pan who, according to the Greeks, was responsible for the irrational terror that fills animals and humans alike. In fact we call it Panic in recognition of this weird God's twisted sense of humour. Pan was also the God of sexuality which was made abundantly clear by portraying him with the features of a goat (well known for their fertility), from the waist on down.
