Friday night Rob and I grabbed Pita and headed to the Sherman Oaks mall. Berek had plans for the night (hence no D&D), but Pita didn't so it was time to spend some time hanging out with her. We all headed to the mall and did a lot of talking. There were a few things I needed to pick up at the mall, and some things I picked up just because they were cute. On the "just because they were cute" side of things I got Gabriel a blue onesie with Dumbo on it, a yellow onesie with the lion king (Simba?) on it, a footsie with Pinnochio on it, a footsie with Dumbo on it, and a small stuffed Stitch. He's now set for his 6-9 and 9 month clothes. On the "stuff that I needed" side of things I got some perfume, eye cream, a body sponge, and some lotion. After shopping we headed to the food court to grab some dinner. After dinner I made a run into Macy's and bought Rob three new pairs of pyjama pants. His other ones were worn out and I wanted to get him some more as a present. I ran into Macy's while Rob, Gabriel, and Pita chilled out. I didn't want Rob with me in the store because I wanted the pyjama pants to be a surprise. When I got back I noticed that Rob was holding Gabriel (in a standing pose) and Gabriel kept trying to bend over and touch his feet. Damn, he's one smart little boy. Earier in the day we were watching Sesame Street and there was a segment on exercise and how it's good for you. One of the things they were doing was touching their toes. So Pita started doing toe touches and Gabriel laughed and did it more. It was so cute.

After the mall we headed back to our apartment. Gabriel had a crying fit in the car, but Pita was able to calm him down. When we got back to the apartment we just chilled out and giggled about all sorts of things since all of us were rather sleep deprived. We headed out and took Pita home around 10:30pm.

Saturday Gabriel had his pediatrician appointment (check up and shots). I was feeling like ass so I stayed in. Gabriel did well at his check up. He's now weighing in at around 15 pounds, 4 ounces and is a healthy boy. Yay! He'll be starting solids this Friday... on his 6 month birthday. Rob had some problems getting home after the doctor appointment. All ways out of downtown Los Angeles were closed off due to various events (farmer's market, protests, parade, etc.). He spent over an hour just driving in circles. Finally he made his way down to the USC area and was able to get back home.

When he got back we had lunch and got ready and decided to just get our Babies R Us run over with and do it that day. So, once we were all ready we headed out to the Babies R Us in Ontario. We made good time getting out there and were able to pick up the things we needed for him (formula, baby wipes, sippy cups, nursery water, etc.). I also bought him some more clothes, this time in size 9-12 and 12 months. Just so he has some things of the next size he'll need in case he hits a growth spurt. It's also nice to buy things in spurts so we don't suddenly have to buy all of the new size of clothing at once. After Babies R Us we decided to check out a restaurant in the area called Chick-fil-A. I had seen ads for it as a sponsor of Sesame Street on PBS and their website looked interesting. It's a fast food restaurant that only serves chicken. Not fried chicken like KFC, but chicken sandwiches, chicken strips and nuggets, chicken soup, etc. That place was amazing! They had the best chicken sandwich I have ever had in my life. I wish we had one of these places near us... I'd be eating their chicken sandwiches a lot! They're closed on Sundays so I wouldn't mind trying to get out there some Saturday in the near future. After the amazing chicken place we grabbed some boba tea and headed back home.

Sunday I had a migraine and didn't feel like going anywhere, but we had to get my car out. So we made a run to the drug store and to the grocery store. We spent the night in and cooked Steak Ummms (which we've found Albertson's carries) sandwiches for dinner. We watched Big Brother and just chilled out with the Poopchuck.
