Rob talked to the bank today about getting the funds reimbursed. For some weird reason they need to wait to do this. So he'll probably have to call back on Monday and fight with them for that money.

We have a problem with the 7-Eleven. Rob called the store where the large purchase was made last night and spoke with an employee. He has the exact time the purchase was made and they had a video tape of that time period. That employee held the video tape and told him he would have to speak with the manager today. So he called the manager today and explained the situation. The manager said he would have to speak with the owner.

He just spoke with the owner and after that I recived a rather pissed off e-mail from him. Apparently the owner cannot and will not help him with this because the owner "doesn't speak enough English to understand the situation". I don't know what language the owner speaks, but I'm assuming it's not Spanish because Rob speaks Spanish fairly well.

I called my Mom to bitch about the situation and she had the idea of calling whatever police department is local to that area and seeing if they can get the tape. From my past experiences with the police out here helping us with identity theft problems (one time we had the damn address of the criminal and they still didn't look into it) I'm not too hopeful about it. But it can't hurt to try. So, Rob is going to call the Sheriff's department out there and see if they can give him a hand with this situation. *sigh* Maybe they have someone who can translate the problem for the store owner or maybe the fact that they're the police will get that damn tape. This is just one big ball of frustration.
