2006-11-06 10:34 AM Back In LA Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Wishing I was still at my Mom's place. Read/Post Comments (0) I'm back at "home". Home being in quotes because this LA apartment does not feel like home to me. Our new place in Pewaukee feels like home to me even though we're not there yet. I don't know the move date yet, it depends on the whole job thing. The earliest would be early to mid December. The latest would be early to mid January. Either way, it's going to be a nightmare to move cross country... a nightmare I'm looking forward to. Sometimes you have to go through some hurdles and stress filled difficult times in order to be where you need and want to be. This is one of those times. Sunday morning we got up at 5am to shower and get ready to head over to the airport. We took the hotel shuttle over to the Milwaukee airport and got there around 7am. We checked in, got our boarding passes, and checked our luggage. We did all that quickly so we had the time to grab a quick breakfast at a Burger King in the airport before heading through security and to our gate. We once again got to pre-board because of Gabriel and our flight left on time. Gabriel was great during the flight and slept most of the time, with a break for a diaper change and some food. Once again, he did not poop while up in the air. *great big sigh of relief* The one thing that sucked about the flight was some guy who came down the aisle to talk to the guy right across from me. These planes have very narrow aisles so I got to spend the majority of this flight with some guy's ass in my face. Not pleasant. Our flight landed on time and I waited with Gabriel and our carry on bags while Rob got our checked baggage. While waiting there I saw the guy who had his ass in my face during the flight walk by. I recognized him by his ass. Yes, it was that bad. Yuck. Our luggage came pretty quickly (especially for LAX) and once we had it we called the limo to pick us up. Due to the problem with them putting Gabriel in an illegal and unsafe front facing car seat on our way to the airport, we just told them to not have one in and put his airplane carseat in. That thing is amazing. It's a carseat that's FAA approved and turns into a stroller. Nice. When we got home we called my Mom and Tina (our cat sitter) to let them know we were home. We went though the mail, let Gabriel crawl around, and unpacked. I was dead tired and didn't get much sleep at the hotel (our room was above a conference room where a party went on until around 3:30am) so I passed out for a few hours. I know I should have checked to see if my car was dead from not being run for almost two weeks, but both Rob and I were too exhausted. We'll try it tonight. We watched The Amazing Race and America's Next Top Model and then passed out. Gabriel is not happy today. He's very attached to my Mom (who is now 3000 miles away) and is a Daddy's boy (and Rob's at work). It's obvious he misses them both and he's being quite grumpy about it. ----------
