I think Gabriel might be possessed. There are times when he starts to growl and then makes these low, gutteral, growling noises that sound like something out of The Exorcist. It's probably just him messing around with his voice, but damn is it weird. I start to giggle whenever he starts his growling. Rob gets creeped out and says he expects the kid to start speaking in Latin. I'll admit, it is a bit on the odd side.

Yesterday we were able to solidify the move date. The movers will be getting all of our things on December 20. We also managed to get our plane tickets. My Mom will be coming in to give us a hand on the packing on December 17 and then all of us will be flying out of here on the night of December 21.

Now we need to fill out some forms and fax them into the moving company and I need to talk to my Dad again about the various forms of payment and see what he'd like to do. Rob spoke with one of the people in our leasing office yesterday and they gave us a "Notice to Vacate" form to fill out and we'll be turning that in tonight.

Everything is coming together with one exception. Banking. That is quickly becoming a nightmare. There are no banks both out here and out where we'll be moving to. We had wanted to switch over from Bank of America to Chase. However, we have many obsticles. Bank of America refuses to let us transfer money to another bank. And we have to go into the branch we opened our account at (which is two different branches for checking and savings) to close the accounts. They'll then give us a cashier's check. I'm not all right with traveling across the country with our life savings in a cashier's check. If we lose it or it gets stolen we've just lost everything. What we have saved up is no small amount and yet B of A expects us to travel with all of our money in cashier's check form. Even if everything went well and we had all the checks in hand to open our Chase account with in Wisconsin there comes the problem of paying bills. Most of our bills come due right around the time of the move. If I don't have access to any bank account how am I supposed to be able to pay these bills? Some of which (like cell phone and credit cards) have a week or less from the time I get them until the time they're due. *sigh* So this whole banking thing is becoming a massive thorn in our sides and is stressing the both of us out.

So yeah, while some things have come together nicely (movers and plane tickets) other things are quickly reaching nightmare level (banking).

My Mom is amazing. Apparently most of the flights (that will allow a cat on board the plane and not as cargo) were booked. I don't know how she did it, but she managed to get us tickets on Northwestern from LA to Milwaukee on the night of the 21. And we're all sitting together. Thanks Mom!

Yesterday we placed an order with Box Brothers for a ton of moving supplies and it should all be delivered early tomorrow.

Last night we stayed in. We gamed and watched Heroes and found out that teething tablets do help somewhat in Gabriel's fussiness (I found them at our last Babies R Us run and thought we should try them). Unfortunately, we got to bed way later than we had hoped (time kind of got away from us) and Gabriel decided to wake up in the middle of the night. Tired now.
