Today we headed to have a consult appointment with a local pediatrician. Her name is Dr. Vipond and she's only a few miles away from us. We liked the consult and she seemed very knowledgeable and got along well with Gabriel. She let him play with her stethoscope while we were talking and gave him some tongue depressers to bang together as well. She doesn't seem to have the sense of humor that Dr. Nakashima had, but she does seem like a good doctor. She's more down to business than Dr. Nakashima, but that's okay. While I loved Dr. Nakashima's personality, we're looking for a good doctor for Gabriel first and foremost and she seems to fit that bill. It's also nice that her office is so close. With Dr. Nakashima we had to drive into a bad area of downtown LA to take Gabriel into the doctor's office. So yeah, it looks like we have a new pediatrician for Gabriel. We have his one year appointment scheduled for February 20.

Right now I'm looking at baby furniture sets online. I'm not having much luck so it looks like we'll be checking out USA Baby and/or Babies R Us tomorrow. They both have insane delivery charges, but this whole online thing isn't doing it for me and I really want to see what I'm getting in person, make sure the sets match, make sure I buy a mattress that fits and bedding that fits, etc. So, tomorrow will probably be baby furniture shopping. At some point in the near future I also need to get a new car seat (forward facing) for when Gabriel turns 1.
