How the hell can it be 88 degrees outside? In October?? In Wisconsin??? I think California weather followed us when we moved. Ugh. I hate this. Give me nice and crisp fall weather. My penguin self is sick and tired of the heat.

I think I'm one of the few people on this planet who hated the weather in Southern California. I don't like sunny and I don't like hot. I don't even like warm. Hell, anything above 70 is too hot for me. My ideal temps are around 45-65 or so. Just give me some weather in the 50's and I'll be joyously happy. Yeah, penguin.

So, today we headed to a local mall. I stopped in Lane Bryant and asked what happened to their suits. They used to sell them. Looks like suits are now a winter seasonal item. Huh??? That makes no sense. Anyway, I'm glad I went in there. I've been having this nagging sensation that I'm forgetting something. The suits I had to order online arrived and I'm taking one over to be altered tomorrow. The jacket and pants on all of them are too long in the sleeves and too long in the legs. I'm going to get one altered soon for the swearing in ceremony and work on the rest in small chunks. I also ordered appropriate shoes on Zappos. What could I be missing? Duh, something to wear under the suit jacket! Oops. It's a good thing I caught that now though. In Lane Bryant I picked up some shells made out of a nice sweater material.

We also went into a few other stores. Rob and I both picked up some new body poufs and lotion and wash and the like at Bath and Body Works. We found a 2008 calendar (dragons) at a kiosk in the middle of the mall. And we also picked up a few things (some hoodies and onesies) for Gabriel at the Disney store.

So, I made a mistake today. My pride got the best of me and I went to the mall without my cane. I decided to not bring it with me because I didn't want people staring and I really didn't want teens and the like making fun of me. That was a mistake. By the time we were done with the mall, I was in a lot of pain and I still am right now.

Tonight I did a lot of laundry (all of our clothes) and we put on my old VHS tape of Snow White. The Showtime live action horror version, not the Disney version. Rob really liked it and had never seen it before. After the movie he bathed the Poopchuck.

Well, this is rather disturbing.
