Tomorrow we're heading to my Mom's place for the weekend so today was all about getting some last minute errands done.

Before we headed out, just as we were about to head out the door, the phone rang. It's a good thing we checked to see who was calling because it was Kohl's. Rob got the job!!!!! Yay!!! From what they said he'll be starting on January 2, but will have to head in this month on occasion for things like drug tests and the like. This is 98% good news! The bad news is that benefits don't start until April, so we're stuck on COBRA paying $1200 a month for insurance that really doesn't seem to cover anything. The other bad (well, more difficult than bad) things is how the hell I can go on job interviews. We don't know anyone who can watch Gabriel. If worse comes to worse, I hope my Mom doesn't mind making some last minute trips here. I really can't interview with a baby in tow. Also, Gabriel will be on a few month waiting list for day care. So, we'll also be in a bind if I actually get hired before that comes around. Ah well, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Yay! Rob has a new job!

When we headed out we first took my car out. It was almost out of gas, so we filled it up with gas and ran it through a car wash. Yeah, a snow storm is headed our way, but it desperately needed to be washed. We then made a stop at FedEx to mail something off and headed back home.

We then switched to Rob's car. It's pretty cold here so we thought running it today (since we'll be at my Mom's this weekend) would be a good idea. We made a run to Babies R Us for a few items (one of them being a replacement of a DVD Gabriel broke in half when trying to take it out of the case). We did a quickie grocery store run. I ran into a video game store to get something to go along with one of Rob's Xmas presents. We grabbed dinner from The Olive Garden, and then we headed back home.

Tonight we gamed. The last game for this character. My formerly human (now lich) dread necromancer/warlock (Regina) is over with. It was a good game run, but it was time to end it. I'm going to be trying my hand one more time at playing a good (stop laughing) character next. I bathed the Poopchuck and am doing up some laundry. 5 loads total. I started them five hours ago and haven't gotten to the last load yet. It's going to be a long night.
