2007-12-31 10:36 PM New Year's Eve Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Content Read/Post Comments (0) It looks like my body couldn't let the year run out without yet another ear infection. *sigh* I'm pretty much out of the ear antibiotic solution and with Rob starting work on Wednesday a trip to the doctor's isn't happening. My ear itches and is starting to hurt. I went online and ordered a homeopathic remedy for ear infections. We'll see if it works. I asked for one day shipping because it's just going to get worse and hurt more and I'd like to try it as soon as possible. The web site said that if the order was placed before 3pm it would be mailed out the same day. This would mean that it would arrive on Wednesday. Well, I ordered it at 11:30am and it wasn't shipped out today. It looks like the earliest I'll be getting it is Thursday. If you have ever had the pain of an ear infection, you know that one day can make a whole lot of difference. We called the pediatrician this morning and told them about the problem with Gabriel's eye. After describing it they agreed that it sounded like a stye. They said there was no need to come in, but to put a cool compress on it when we could. It looks a bit better today. I've had styes before and they suck. I hate seeing my baby like this. He was crying and I asked him what was wrong and he pointed at it. It's horrible to feel so powerless. I wish I could just make it go away for him. We headed out to the grocery store today to pick up some foodage and then headed back home for the day. When we got back home we threw some foodage into the crockpot and let it cook for the rest of the day. Thank you Lisa for suggesting we get a crock pot! Thank you Mom for getting us the crock pot (and the recipe books) for Xmas! This afternoon we gamed and I got two loads of laundry done. Dinner was a sauerkraut and bratwurst recipe from the crockpot and it was really good! We watched some of the To Catch A Predator marathon and Rob bathed the Poopchuck. Now I'm getting my things done on here. Happy New Year's to all! 2007 was the year of the suck (with few exceptions). Here's to hoping that 2008 is great! ----------
