2008-04-01 1:20 PM More E-mail Problems Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Frustated Read/Post Comments (0) I talked to Earthlink and sent them one of the bounced e-mails. The person on the phone told me to send the forwarded e-mail because they thought something called "spoofing" was going on. That means that no one has my password, but they're using my e-mail in the "reply to" address. I was told to send a forward of one of the many returned messages I was getting and that I would then be told what was going on and what steps needed to be taken to stop this. In the meanwhile, I changed my password. I'm liking Earthlink less and less. If I didn't have this e-mail address for the past 12 years, I would change companies. After sending the forwarded message, I got an automatic response letting me know that the situation would be looked into, but that I would not be getting a personal response. WTF? How the hell do I know what's going on or what to do from here? I'm still getting the returned e-mails, but now there's one other problem. Just to be on the safe side, I changed passwords to other sensitive sites (thanks for the tip John). I was supposed to get e-mails with my new password in them. I never got those e-mails. Rob tried to send me an e-mail. Nothing. I ordered Rob's b-day present today and didn't get the confirmation on that. In fact, I haven't received any e-mails since about 10am. While I guess technically receiving NO e-mails solves the problem, it also creates a larger problem. *sigh* Last night Rob and I did some gaming and had Dancing With The Stars and The Bachelor on in the background. I'm now watching those thanks to my Mom introducing me to them. New month, new journal scheme, new dragon, and a quack whore on my front page. This rain and weird weather is seriously fucking with my knee. On the bright side, Tylenol PM is helping me sleep at night without being too uncomfortable. Rob stopped by during lunch today. He, Gabriel, and I drove over to city hall. I ran in to vote while he waited in the car with Gabriel and then he ran in to vote while I waited in the car with Gabriel. It took forever for them to find what district I'm in because no one had heard of my street. Then again, I think the youngest person working in there was like 90. Gabriel has decided that he wants to spend the entire day being pissy and screaming for no reason at all. Oh yes, we're in the terrible twos. ----------
