My Mom came over late yesterday afternoon. When she first got into town she had an appointment to see a house. She really liked it, so she decided to make another appointment for today so I could see it as well.

After my Mom got here, we headed out to visit with my Nana. Roy and Jeane were there as well and we headed out when Gabriel got too fussy. We then drove around a bit because he fell asleep in the car.

Last night the dinner I tried to put together for my family didn't work out. Roy and Jeane couldn't do it, then Kim and Pam couldn't do it, then Shirly couldn't do it. So, Rob just brought food home for my Mom, him, Gabe, and me.

Today my Mom, Gabe, and I picked up my Aunt Shirley who is visiting from NY and we went over to the house that my Mom really likes. It's gorgeous and painted so well. The only downside is that it was a model house so while she would be the first one living there, it's already four years old and so are all the appliances. I spoke with the realtor and asked her about having the builders give my Mom a warranty on the appliances because they claim to stand behind them. She's going to look into that. She seemed a bit nervous when my Mom told her I was an attorney. The house was super neat and just seems like a place my Mom would love. Even Gabriel liked it, and he hates everything. He had fun running around and playing in the closets. Since it's a model home, it's already furnished and he was so good about not getting into things he shouldn't. When the kid that hates everything likes something, that leaves an impression. Of course, he might have been a bit too comfortable there because he made a huge poopy when we were there and we had to change him on the bathroom floor.

After seeing the house we dropped my Aunt Shirley back off at Kim and Pam's (Kim really likes Gabriel's Harley black motorcycle jacket) and then grabbed some lunch at DQ. We also got some alcohol at the grocery store for later on (my Mom's been drinking my beer).

We then went to visit my Nana for awhile. Today is her 96th birthday. Wow. We have some long lived women in my family (my other Grandmother, Eleanor, was 96 when she passed away last October). Later on Kim, Pam, Shirley, and one of my cousins stopped in to see Nana and we headed out then.

I have something on the back of my neck that's driving me insane. It's on the back right side and it itches and hurts. My Mom looked at it and thinks it looks like some sort of a bug bite, so she put some Benadryl cream on it. It's not helping and still itches and hurts. Ugh. Suckage.

Tonight should rock. My Mom offered to watch Gabriel and Rob and I are going out to dinner. We don't really ever get to head out without Gabriel, so this really means a lot to us. We're going to be checking out a local fondue restaurant. However, without the "souls of the children" singing happy birthday to phantom people in the background, I doubt it will be as cool as La Fondue back in LA.
