Since other parents read this, I thought I would ask. Is it normal for a two year old to count, to say the alphabet, and to start reading? Gabriel has been counting for quite some time now. He used to go up to just twenty. Now he can count pretty much as high as he wants to. I have yet to hear him go over one hundred, but he has gotten to one hundred. Gabriel can say the entire alphabet and can recognize letters on sight. Last night, we were watching So You Think You Can Dance and the FOX channel logo was in the corner. Gabriel walked up to the TV, pointed to the logo, and said: "F - o - x. Fuh - ahhh - ksss." I've been working with him on phonics because he knows the alphabet and I think it's working. My Nana has been discharged from the hospital... to the Virginia! Ack!!! That place blows monkey balls. My Uncle thinks that her ass hat hospital doctor just wants her there so that he can cruise down the hall, pop his head in each room for ten seconds, and then bill for $160 for his visit. I'm really hoping she goes back to the Sterling House soon. My Uncle mentioned looking into a nursing and rehab place that's better than the Virginia, but has more care than the Sterling House so that she doesn't keep having to be shiffled between residences. We'll see what happens. I am not happy that she's back in the Virginia. The food is miserable (everything that's not a hot dog or bologna is covered in a thick white sauce), the people there aren't nearly as mentally sharp as my Nana, and it's depressing. UGH!!! I want to kick her ass hat doctor in the nuts. ----------
