2008-06-12 9:35 AM Nana and Mom's House Previous Entry :: Next Entry Mood: Tired Read/Post Comments (0) Time for an update on my Nana. The medication hallucinations seem to be wearing off and my Nana has been in good spirits and joking about it. The birds and the kittens are all gone, however the bugs on the ceiling and floor are still around. The nurse said that should go away in a day or two. She's working on physical therapy and has to be able to stand and pivot to use the toilet before she can go back to the Sterling House. She's not there yet, but she's working on it. She's working hard in physical therapy so she can get the hell out of the Virginia and get back to the Sterling House. She's also getting a much needed new pair of hearing aids. The last time I visited with her, she couldn't hear a word I was saying, even when I was yelling loud enough for the entire place to hear. The hearing aids won't make her 100% because of how bad her hearing loss is, but at least she should be able to carry on a conversation now. Yay! My Mom's house is finally on the market. The bad news is that several other houses on her street are also for sale, so it looks like there's something wrong in the area (even though there isn't). The good news is that she has it reasonably priced and it's much nicer than the other surrounding houses. Unfortunately, the reasonable pricing has her taking a loss on the house. This is so exciting, hopefully she'll be able to sell it and move out here soon. Squee! Click here to see the listing and some neat pics of her place. ----------
