Pewaukee City Hall Suspect In Custody

Man Barricaded Himself In Bathroom, Had "Makeshift Explosive Device"

Authorities have taken a man into custody at Pewaukee City Hall after he barricaded himself in a unisex bathroom with some sort of explosive device attached to him.
Authorities isolated that man in a garage at City Hall and were trying to determine what sort of danger the explosive device poses.
Three members of the Waukesha County Swat Team were in the garage with the suspect.
Officials later declared that the situation was over and ended safely.
The Milwaukee County Bomb Squad was also on the scene. The bomb squad was on standby for awhile Monday morning, but once it was determined that the man did have an explosive device, the bomb squad was brought in.
Pewaukee authorities worked out mutual aid with neighboring communities, so that people who needed police or fire assistance while this incident was taking place had other authorities available to respond.
Pewaukee City Hall is one of those complexes where the police station is on site as well.
Roads leading to City Hall were blocked off.
